What are saving up for right now?

I've been teaching myself how to play guitar for the last few months, using a loaner that was lying around at my church. Since I finally decided it's something I intend to stick with, I am ready to purchase my very own. I found a beautiful Fender acoustic last weekend, and I haven't been able to think of anything else ever since. I'm working at saving money to purchase my new guitar, but the waiting is hard. I've got several auctions running at ebay, so I keep checking the bidding every couple of hours. That's pretty much all I can do, though. Sit back and wait. It's drving me nuts!

So what is it that everyone at the DIS is saving up for, other than their next Disney vacation?

We are leaving for Hershey on Saturday, but after we get back next week, we will begin saving for next year's cruise!

Well our main saving right now is for our two WDW trips end of this year....BUT....one of my kids has decided to get engaged so we will be saving for another wedding in a year so too....

Short term.... new deck and possibly enclosing part of the deck.

Long term.... college for the kids.................P

DD starts college in August then I have another to start in 2 years.

DH is self employed and I work per diem so no retirement funds for us except what we save ourselves.

Well...we are saving for our 14 day DCL cruise (FL-CA) and hopefully a new truck for DH. But the cruise takes priority we are addicted...it's ok

We live hand to mouth, practically. Technically we're saving for our anniversary weekend in August... ha ha.

BTW - DH plays, and he usually finds the best deals through Musicians Friend. Do you get their catalog? They are online as well... He has a Guild and a Yamaha right now. You might want to check them out and see if they have that Fender any cheaper. We order from them often and have never had a problem...

Matter of fact, he made his "wish list" on their site last night and emailed it to me for his bday in August =) A new amp, I believe, is what he wants.

We have son in college. That takes alot of our money! In 3 years, second son will go to college and that will take more money. Right now we are saving for a long weekend trip to Hershey Park this summer.

Other than paying our bills, we are trying to save up to buy a house and a new car. It should take us about....a lifetime

Gas-I can go 2 weeks before filling up but when I do fill up that's a lot of money down the drain. It was $35 last week, and with 4th of July at the end of next week I really timed this one wrong.

We are in the process of adopting our first child so we are saving up for that right now! Bringing her home from China is our #1 priority.
