What are my chances?

We land at 7:15pm. What are my chances of having my luggage delivered by 10pm at Pop Century? We're doing the 24 hour event and would like to get some sleep beforehand... wondering if I should opt to pick up my own luggage instead this time or how late they deliver the luggage...

I'd say zero. You're supposed to get your luggage 3-4 hours after you check-in, not after you land, so if you land at 7:15, you should get to your resort around 8:30, which means you shouldn't expect to get your luggage before 11:30. Either pick up your luggage yourself, or pack what you need for the first night and morning in your carry-on, then when you check in, ask them to hold your checked luggage until morning.

Not to mention.....the value resorts have very sporadic luggage delivery. Late at night is going to be awful.

I wouldn't even chance it. Pack what you need for your 1st 24-36 hours in carry ons. When you are checking into your resort, ask them to hold your bags til morning. When you get to your room, put out the Do Not Disturb sign. Once you're in your room, call Luggage Assistance, and also ask them to hold your bags.

When you get up in the morning, give a call to Luggage Assistance, and ask them to deliver your bags. If you explain that they were DME bags held over night, they should just bring them, and leave them in your room. You can be off whenever you like.

Okay, so my next dilemma is the 24 hour thing... we'll be technically "checking out" the following day (I have a one night only reservation through Disney), the following 3 nights are through Orbitz (a different reservation). We'll be leaving for the 24 hour event by 4:30am and we're not planning to return until 7am the following morning. Do they hold luggage for that long? or will they begin to wonder what's going on... lol.

I may just go ahead and pick up the suitcase myself. Is baggage claim at MCO confusing? I've always used ME's services...

Pick them up yourself. The only issue will be which side you arrive at. If you arrive on Side B, no big deal. Just go down to level 2, baggage claim, get your bags, and continue on down to level 1, ground transportation, and go to DME.
But...if you arrive on Side A? You get off the tram on level 3 (same as the Side B people). Then you will need to head to at be Side A signage (overhead), and then down to level 2 for your bags. Then back up to level 3, across the main concourse area, and over to Side B, and then down to level 1 for DME.
But all in all? That's probably your best bet with your situation.

Thanks :) Now to decide on big suitcase or small... big always has more room for souvenirs.. lol.

Are you checking in for the second reservation at 7 am the day after it starts? If you are, you may have been considered a no-show by that time. The computers roll over to a new day around 6 am.

But your staying at the same resort, same category, yes? Just tell the CM when checking in that you have a reservation following through Orbitz and would like to stay in the same room. Should not be a problem. And I don't think they'll be giving your room away at 7am as a PP said. Maybe I misunderstood that.
