What are my chances

We are DVC owners at SSR but would like to possibly book a 2 bedroom or a one bedroom and a studio for Oct or Nov 2013 for a week. What are my chances of getting a reservation during this time?

If one of the boardwalk area resorts, BWV, booking right at 7 months would probably be your best chance.

I wouldn't think Oct/Nov are peak Hawaii times unless you are looking to go during school breaks (Thanksgiving in particular). We booked June at 6mo, which seems to be a peak mo because there wasn't much available. The other thing to look in to is whether there are specific Japanese holidays during that time. That could impact you.
Otherwise, if you are flexible on start end dates and view type, you should be able to find something. What are you specifically looking for?

You won't have too much problems as long as you book as early within the 7 month window & not around holidays. Even around holidays you can get a room but may not get the lower pt rooms. The OV rooms are usual available a little longer due to the amount of pts needed. So far I have not had any problems with holiday wknds and have stayed at Aulani every 3 day wknd since it has opened & our home is SSR.
