What are my chances?

Today was my 7 month date to book 2 nights concierge level at AKL. Sadly it was booked but I did put ourselves on the wait list.
I'm sure its a crap shot but does anyone have any encouraging stories about getting their request?

Anything can happen but you are hoping that someone cancels for your dates and there are only 5 to 10 possible room combinations.

The only encouraging thing I can think of is your 7 month window means you're visiting during Food & Wine. At that time, nobody wants to be at AKV....BCV & BWV are the hot properties. Although the odds are greatly against you, they're slightly better than other times of the year. I would not get my hopes up, though. But, you have nothing to lose on the waitlist....you might get lucky!

Anything can happen, but I wouldnt get your hopes off. I am an AKV owner and to get a reservation for concierge you usually need to call the exact date the 11 month window opens. They book immediately and there are so few rooms that a cancellation is unlikely.
