What are my chances of getting upstairs @ CG before my dinner?

We're not eating at CG just to see Wishes, we're really excited about the food. However, I'm also really excited to see Wishes from CG. The problem: only res I could get was 9:20. CM on phone said probably if we showed up early we could get upstairs, esp. if we said we want to have drinks in the lounge, but she didn't sound very assuring to me.

What are my chances? I really want to see Wishes from CG on our last night (well, really wanted it our first night, but MNSSHP is that night, so no Wishes). Or do I just keep calling to check for cancellations?

When we ate there on a Saturday night in May, we arrived early. Since we had ADR's , the 2nd floor hostess invited us to go up to the bar/lounge to wait for the table. Unfortunately, when we got there, there were NO seats at the bar, or in the lounge!! We had to find two empty chairs and pull them up next to a wall, where we sat for nearly 1/2 an hour. We couldn't even get near the bar, and no one was waiting on the few lounge tables they have.
Aside from what happened to us, I think the answer is "yes", they should let you up early if you have ADR's.

Won't Wishes be occuring during your meal? Make sure to check the official site. I made ADRs for CG at 9:30 pm to coincide with Wishes at 10pm.

Check the times in case Wishes is at 10- then you won't have a problem. Otherwise, if it is earlier, you can go up earlier with an ADR. By that time though, the bar is usually packed so you might not get a seat. You will however, be able to use the observation platform outside to see Wishes

We've done (for business purposes, but with a large ressie at the CG) just what you're proposing. We had a 9 PM ressie, but all met at the lounge around 7:30. No problems, whatsoever.

According to this, Wishes is 9:00 that night. Sounds like we'll probably be OK, I don't mind watching from the Obs Deck, as I really want to take photos, and that's probably the best spot anyway!
