I've been checking the DVC site almost daily for the last month and right at 11 months there has never been the first day open to even begin walking a reservation for a 1 br CL @ AKV. Now, granted I am not up @ 8 am (5 am my time) but usually the first 2 or 3 nights are booked.
Good thing I didn't really want to snag one as while we'd probably enjoy the appetizers we wouldn't use the free wine/beers/sodas much and there reportedly are better views in regular savanna view rooms. One of these years maybe we'll try it for a night or two to do the sunrise safari.
