what are my chances of being able to book a studio or 2 bedroom at Aulani in June ?

Thinking of vacations for next year and was thinking abut hawaii. what are my chances of being able to book a standard view room or even any room at 7 months for mid-June ? I own AKL.

Standard view at Aulani is difficult much of the year. Mid to late June is one of Aulani's highest demand times of the year and chances are not very good to get even other room classes at that time, with ocean view giving you a little better chance than others.

Sorry to say this but I would say June itself for ANY view would be a challenge and standard view probably almost a zero chance as the Aulani owners seem to keep the very few std. views booked up. June is already one of the hardest months to get because the points are lower. They are changing the point charts for Aulani next year and making all of July and the 1st half of August "Premium" season. That will create more competition for June reservations which would have lower points and then in mid-summer the lower point value rooms like IV will be even harder to get than they are now. Personally, if I were planning on a trip to Aulani for summer of 2016 I would just go ahead and plan on having to spend the points for an OV so that I wouldn't be shut out and I would definitely be flexible enough to book July or August if I had to as I just think that June is going to be nuts to get.

I wouldn't give up - I would just have realistic expectations that a std. view is most likely not going to happen because there are very few of them and I would plan on having to book a higher category and I would come up with an alternate date when the demand isn't so high. It's always POSSIBLE that you could get something, I just wouldn't count on a std. view.

We tried to book for a week in July and everything for studios and villas was booked. Next year we will have to plan ahead and book sooner.
