What are June/July crowds like?

2 words!!!!!!

HOT and CROWDED :sunny:

Every time I go in the summer I always say never again..........but then somehow I forget how bad it was and end up doing it again......I guess a Hot Crowded day at disney is better than a Hot boring day at home.

This year I'm keeping my word.........I went in January and I'm going back in October.

We go around that time every year, including this year. I'm a teacher and am limited to busy vacation times. Yes, it's hot and crowded. We always try to get to the parks at opening - it's not as hot or crowded and you can do so much in that first hour. We use fast passes and basically won't wait in a line that's more than 10 or 15 minutes. Normally we have lunch at the park (love Columbia Harbor House in MK), maybe do one or two more rides, then head back to the hotel for an afternoon at the pool. Later in the evening, we often head back to a park (not necessarily the same one) for a few shows, maybe the parade or fireworks, whatever we feel up to. If we're too tired or lazy, we may just hang around the resort in the evening. Be sure to drink lots of fluids and rest in the shade when you feel the need. While I would love to go when there's no crowds, I have a feeling it wouldn't be the same for me! Don't think I've even been there during a slower time.

Well, it's crowded. Not holiday time crowded, but pretty darn busy. Now realize, because it's busy the hours are long, parades and fireworks running everynite-sometimes twice a night. Yep, it's really hot and humid, but it's Florida in summer, just the way it is. Do what other posters have suggested, get to the parks at opening, some of the least crowded times of the day. Get out of the park at midday, too hot and crowded to enjoy it anyways then. It may counterproductive to leave the parks when it's so busy, but truthfully you will get just as much done and enjoy it a heckof a lot better. Go back in the evening, rested and cooled to enjoy the evening festivities. We've gone in June 4 times in the past 6 years. I would prefer not to go again in summer, but it's the heat that gets me, not the crowd levels. Yes, the parks are packed at time, but intelligent planning will help a great deal. While I like offseason better, I know sometime in the next or two I will end up going in summer again anyway:)

I was wondering the same thing. We are going in mid July. Although heat doesn't bother us too much, we plan on doing the same, going in the morning and hitting the pool in the afternoon. That is why we decided to stay at BC. Another thing I plan on doing is packing a small cooler in the bottom of my 3 year old stroller. Then you can have water readily available.
