What are "Jerry Beads" REALLY made off????

DH loves watching Jerry Springer on his days off. Ok, I admit, when DS is in school and DD is napping I'll turn on Jerry while cleaning and get sucked right in! I'm a closet Springer watcher! There....I feel better getting that off my chest

Anyway! What the heck are those Jerry beads made of? I must be missing something. They look like $.99 Mardi Gras beads to me, but they must be made of pure gold or something! Should I be flying into Chicago to flash my...ummm thinking of a friendly DIS word here......thingies for everyone to see? How much can you get on ebay for them? If they're really worth it, I might get DH to drop HIS pants.

I would say I must be getting old, but there are grandmotherly types doing this! Oh well, to each his or own.

I admit, I'm a closet Springer watcher sometimes too. Actually it's a fun bonding thing with DH. We watch, roll our eyes, laugh and say things like "WHERE do they find these people?"

Even if it's totally fake, there's still some idiot people that are WILLING to go on TV and make complete jerks of themselves. And those Jerry Beads - oh boy.

But my personal favorite is the country dancing.

They are, but audience members really really want them! If the women lift their shirts and bras or the men drop their trousers, they get these stupid beads. It usually happens during the last 10-15 minutes of the show.
