What are instances when you must have cash?

Not sure when to expect to spend cash. We know, of course, some will be necessary in the parks, but just not sure what to expect.

Never really had too in the parks everywhere we went in the parks even at the carts took my credit card.
think the only time I needed cash was if we needed dollar bills for coke machines and if we did need money there were plenty of atms around.

The only cash I go through the whole week is for tipping (valets, baggage, housekeeping, rickshaw, etc.) the rest gets charged to the room for convenience.

Everyone gets some "emergency cash", but tips are the only thing I can recall (assuming you stay onsite) using cash for.
