What Are Gas Prices Where You Are?

Driving home from my office on the northside of Indianapolis today, as I passed through Fishers, IN I saw $2.98.

Are these prices equal to what everyone paid in Spring 2008? Winter 2008? or other? Just curious as I am in places where prices do not drop when crude oil drops.

Thanks.

Okay, hold on, I just got home from running errands. All over town it was 2.55!!! Interestingly, news said that price per barrel was at the level of 11 months ago. I keep records of all of my gas and 11 months ago today gas was 2.98. I thought it was interesting.

$3.08 in maine this afternoon, dropped 7-cents today...heard they expect an average below $3/gallon within a week

Update: Now it us $2.68 at the same station.

On the way home, it was $2.56. The Speedway is having a war with Murphy's. It started the day at $2.85. It was $2.68 at lunchtime. AT 5:00 it was $2.56. The bad part is that I filled up in the morning.:confused3

In New London , Wisconsin 40 West of Green Bay the price yesterday was $3.19. Was hoping it would drop today but so far no luck.

Anyone? you can't ALL have me on ignore, I haven't managed to tick off ALL of you in the last 8 years :rolleyes1

truthfully, I can't remember what it was back in spring or last winter.
I don't really keep track.;)
whew! At least one person doesn't have me on ignore....

If I have time later I may go hunt up one of these old threads from the spring of 2008 to see what people were paying then in similar areas

I don't remember exactly what I paid Spring 2008, I don't think it was under $3 /gallon. I suspect the price is similar to what it was earlier this year.

Gas prices in much of the United States is very competitive. Frequently gas stations are across the street from each other. Gas stations change their prices, sometimes more then once a day, depending on the price they paid for the delivery.

I really don't recall, but I'm going to guess that it was about the same as the $3.19 I saw on the way home from work yesterday (far west suburbs of Philadelphia). What I'm really waiting for is to see what my home heating oil becomes. Cap is $5. something.

$2.54 today in SW Missouri. I can't remember what it was last spring or a year ago. I guess the high prices wiped the lower ones from my brain.

DisFlan

this morning 3.19...at noon time 3.09....2 hours later 3.01....at 5 pm it was 2.99... saw it for 2.95 in Destin this afternoon
