What are garden view inn rooms like at Vero Beach?

Last spring we stayed in ocean view inn rooms at Vero Beach. We were blown away by the view!! Our rooms were at the very end of a hallway and the one room was especially large with a window seat type area. The view though was just magnificent. We spent a significant time on the balcony and always had the doors open to listen to the waves. Looking at saving a few points this year, what would we be looking at if we booked a garden view room? Are these on the front of the hotel rather than the beach side? I'm not sure I'm willing to let go of that ocean view to save the points!

Well, our garden view room last August was terrible! We were directly overlooking the pool, and the all-day noise (even with the sliding doors sealed shut) was not in any way conducive to a pleasant vacation. So that ended any plans we had to relax in the room, let alone on the balcony. Fortunately, there were plenty of other peaceful (though less convenient) places to relax.

I had a GVIR more toward entrance of the resort. It was a view mostly of the parking lot and wasn't noisy. I book OVIR when I have the choice, tnat year, it was the only option. It was fine.

One of our ocean view inn rooms had a large window that overlooked the pool. The balcony was what actually provided the ocean view. We had no noise problems but I bet that was because we just had a window to the pool, not a door. Either that or I didn't notice it because my kids were part of the noise! :) I can see how that would make for a less relaxing vacation.

Thanks for the review. Both views are available as of now, but I'm using holding points, so I have to wait a few more days to book!

Our garden view room was at the far end of the building towards the firepit area. We had a view of the tops of palm trees and, if we cranked our necks and leaned over, we could see the sea.

Unfortunately, the balcony had a solid wall about chest-high so it felt like a jail cell when sitting down. It was September and way too hot to sit out there anyway. It was very quiet.

We had the pool view once and LOVED it! Didn't find it annoying or noisy at all.

We spend a lot of time on the beach rather than the pool, and this past trip toured the jungle trail. Next time we plan on bringing our bikes and spend more time out and about.

I don't know about the garden view rooms. The only view we had that was different than the ocean view inn rooms (which are wonderful, I agree), was the first time we stayed at Vero on cash. Ended up in the corner of the upper floor (felt like an attic) with a high window looking out over the pool and the balcony overlooking the dumpster. From then on, we'll stick with the ocean view! :rotfl2:
