I know in the past when they had E-Nights at MK they limited the wristbands so there weren't large crowds or waits. Has anyone done the new "EXTRA HOUR". I assume they don't limit the crowds now so would that make that much of a difference? Can anyone comment on their experience with the EXTRA EVENING HOUR (specifically MK and EPCOT).

In our experience, early EMH is well worth it as most people don't want to get up early on vacation. To do an early EMH you have to plan for it. Evening EMH is crowded, especially at MK. We do the morning EMHs when possible, or go to the park with the evening EMH the night before at opening the next day.

Just got back and did an "extra hours evening" at EPCOT. it was from 9pm - 12pm for resort guests. We had to get wristbands. Popular rides still had long wait times, and this is not a busy time of year. Lines were longest at 9pm, but by 11pm were 1/2 the wait time than earlier. If you are a real nite owl then you will probably be fine. I still thought it was worth it.

We have done the morning EMH on every trip and I think it is an absolute must. For example, during our first trip to Magic Kingdom, were there when the gate opened to resort guests for EMH. We were able to do Dumbo, Peter Pan, Snow White, Winnie the Pooh and Space Mountain before the gate opened to the public. We then jumped on Buzz and there still wasn't a line for Stitch, so we jumped on. We were able to do seven attractions and the public had only been in the park about thirty minutes. IMO, it is the greatest perk to staying in a WDW resort.

We have never done the evening EMH because we have not been since they started this, but based on what everyone has said on these boards, if you can stay for the last of the three hours, you will walk straight on the rides. If you can't stay that late, you will have additional time in the parks, but the lines will still be very long. We are going to WDW for two full weeks at Christmas. DD and I are going to stay to 3:00 a.m. one night, just to be able to say we did it.
