I've been trying to determine how crowded the parks will be during our trip Feb 2nd- 6th.
When we scheduled this trip I thought I was picking a good time of year since it was value season but some recent threads on the DIS have me worried.
I'm reading that the crowds will be picking up significantly by the first of Feb?
What do you guys think?

We went the first week of Feb. last year and the crowds were very light during the week.:thumbsup2 The weekend picked up but that is normal for Disneyland since there are so many locals who go on weekends. We are going again this year from the 5-9th since it worked out so well last year! It does not look like Disneyland is expecting larger crowds since the hours have not been extended. Have fun!

The only thing that will potentially add crowds to your time at DLR is Google's event on the 5th. And as I mentioned in another post, I don't think this will have an enormous effect on crowds. Nothing like you will find President's week, anyway.

I always go in expecting crowds, plan on being at gates prior to opening, collect FP's early and often, and then feel blessed if wait times are short. Have a great time!

Oh that is good news! :)
I've been a little worried about it because without fast passes for the fantasyland rides I was thinking that we might not have time to ride much of anything.
I don't fully understand the early entry thing but I saw a thread about it so I'm going to read up on it and see how many days we are eligible for. We'll have three day hoppers and we're staying onsite for a couple of days. Couldn't get reservations for the 5th at DLH (and now I know why! lol).

OMG How bad are the crowds president's day weekend??? We'll be arriving Friday and leaving Tuesday.

Hi Keli! We'll be there Jan 31-Feb 4. I'll look for you!! Will you have a lime green mickey on you somewhere??? I am hoping the crowds will be light too...I don't think the Super Bowl will have much impact either, do you? I'm sure we will be wandering over to the ESPN Zone sometime over the weekend...DH will have to get his football fix!

Keli, Early Entry (now called Magical Morning) days are Sat, Sun, Tues and Thurs. During the days you are staying on-site, you are eligible for EE each day it is offered, you just need to show your charge slip at the turnstiles. Your 3-day parkhopper also gives you one day of EE, so if you are staying off-site on an EE day, make sure you save that hopper EE for that day.

EE is an awesome benefit. Make sure you visit the Magical Mornings Super thread authored by DLR29. I'll bump it for you.
