What are crocs???

Keep seeing crocs posted as preferred footwear in Disney.
What are they and where do you get them?

Trust me you don't want them. They are the ugliest piece of footwear I have ever laid eyes on.

Hmm.. Crocs are an ultra-lightweight shoe that is extremely comfortable. I just bought a pair about a week ago, and love them. My fiancee' ordered a pair online yesterday, and her daughter has had a pair for about 3 weeks. They are incredible comfortable shoes!

I'm an elementary school teacher, and would LOVE to wear them here in the classroom. They are a bit ugly, I will give the previous poster that, but they sure help your feet!

My lifesavers!!

They are really really UGLY UGLY shoes they look like a Birkenstock closed moc (forget what that was called, with the closed foot, open back? )

These look and feel like "plastic" they are not - its a special 'resin' that molds to your feet, designed by a couple of guuys in Colorado wanting a good boat shoe instead of using their "orthotics" (I believe thats the story I heard!) So they do mold to your foot (some have a problem with the nubby nobs in them that massage the foot - they wear down, or wear on ya!!)

I have a plantar fascia thingy/ bone spur... and actually was using a cane to get around, I dont have the funds to get orthotics, and thought for $29 bucks I'll try them - WOW!! (For me I had to work up to the length of time to wear them, my foot had to adjust!!)

I bought mine at the sporting goods store formerly known as Sport Mart!! There is a store called Sole Outdoors in the mall that carries them, as well as some Halmark stores...

you can go to www.crocs.com to see them, they are so overwhelmed they take a long time to order - I did get the Nile style - which comes in specific sizes and is a tad "narrower"... The other sizes are sm med lg and xlg, I wear an 11 (EEEK) and a LG fits/molds perfectly!! And yes, its wide, but again, it molds perfectly!!

They are the ugliest shoes you will ever see, but if you can get past that they are also the most comfortable shoes you may ever own. I always compare them to the Nike flip flops but with an incredible arch support that will hold up for a whole day walking at Disney.

If I hadn't had these last May on our trip to WDW I would have hated it. I had a Neuroma in my right foot that caused really bad pain (think of a pinched nerve that makes your foot feel like it's broke). I tried my good running shoes, my most comfortable sandals and neither one was even close to the ugly crocs. They are great house shoes and you can get them soaked without any problem and they dry in minutes.

I love em! But they are really really ugly...
