What are benefits to AP?

I am pricing the difference between four 6-day-PH for my family or 3 6-day-PH and one AP. The only reason I would want the AP is for the discounts. We probably would not go to Disney more than once a year. We are already AAA members, so we receive that discount. It appears that there is nothing tangible on the Disney website that would give me an idea of the savings we could receive on an AP. The difference between the 4 park-hoppers and the 3 park-hoppers with one AP is only $114. Is the AP worth it? Is there anywhere to go and see what benefits (other than room discounts) are available with AP's?

I would love to see if this is a money-saving option - please help!! Thanks!

These are some of the 'benefits' that come with an AP...
Ability to purchase the DDE card

10% off some dining..mostly for lunch

10% off merchandise at Basin, World of Disney Store and some others..mostly in DTD

10-15% off some tours

I buy an AP basically for park entrance..had about 28 days on my AP last year, this year it will be 16 days. I do get room discounts, but that isn't my primary reason for getting one. I tend to book where I want and then if I get an AP discount, then terrific.

Look up the AP Benefits on www.allearsnet.com It will explain all the discounts. I think you save even more money on your room ressies than with AAA. Also, when you have an AP you can purchase the Disney Dining Experience which saves you 20% off all character and sit down meals, including alcohol drinks at the resort lounges, 20% off at some resort food courts etc. I even got a discount off our resort refillable mugs.I feel it's worth the $50 to buy the DDE.
