Please excuse the ignorance, as I am still a "rookie" amongst all the wise vets at DisBoards. What exactly are AP codes and how do they work? I know when we first talked to a travel agent about setting us up at a Disney resort, she said it would pay to get one AP. Not wanting to sound "out of touch" I didn't ask the follow up question. We went ahead and mad our own reservations at WL. Just wondering if someone can tell me a little bit about AP Codes. Thanks!:wave2:

A few other items of info:
- You don't have to have an AP when you make the reservation, but you must have one when you check in.
- You can ask about the rates by calling 407-WDISNEY.
- Only one member of the party needs to have an AP to get the rate. In many cases, the money saved on hotel reservations more than pays for the cost of the 1 Annual Pass.

Looking forward to buying my first AP in June,

Doug

Check out the website allearsnet.com, under Planning, on the left hand side you will see Ticket Information, Annual Passes will be listed under that. It's a great way to become more familiar with Annual Passes.

Annual Passholders sometimes get room discounts, but they are not guaranteed. If there is a discount out for the time you have booked, it very well could save you money to buy at least on AP for your party, savings on rooms are that good!

Good luck, and happy planning!!

Thanks for the responses....I now know what AP codes are and how they may be of benefit when booking a resort.:wave2:
