I am curious since I've been reading people getting them for $95 or $92.

Oh and does anyone know if there is a list of DVC price history complete with incentives anywhere?

TY!

We purchased for $91 a point last year. Don't think you will see them that low again. DVCNews.com has past information by using the search engine. Here is the webcast incentives from last summer, from dvcnews....

A reader sent us information regarding the discounts offered during the recent webcasts. The presentation focused on points at the Bay Lake Tower with substantial discounts off of the list price of $112 per point:

160-199 pts: $16 per point discount
200-269 pts: $18 discount
270-319 pts: $20 discount
320-499 pts: $21 discount
500+ pts: $23 discount

We bought when announced and received developer points, discounted $5 per point (used as gift card toward down payment) and CM discount.

We definitely got the best price and incentives offered for BLT IMO. I was happy that I was not an owner when it was announced. Because, although the very first buyers got the tile (we were eligible for it as well) they got no other incentive. By waiting just a couple weeks, we made out like bandits...although I do still wish for a tile....sigh...lol. I just WISH I had bumped our purchase up about 50 points :lmao:

After reading on the DIS for YEARS I just KNEW I wasn't going to be "one of those" who didn't start off with enough points..yeah right..:rotfl2: We started at 100 then to 180 and I changed it at the last minute to 220. Oh well, I tried :goodvibes

I believe that the webcast in May, 2009 offered the best deal for BLT but the incentives were tiered based on how many points you bought.

We bought in March, 2009 when the points were $112/point, and we were offered either a $16/point incentive (which was made up of an $8/point discount from Disney plus an additional $8/point discount for a referral from an existing DVC member) *or* we had the option of choosing a 4 night cruise. We opted for the point discount and ended up paying $96/point.

I know this is difficult advice to swallow, but try not to stress too much about incentives. Based on when you buy and where you buy (at WDW, on a cruise, etc.), there are likely always going to be better rates out there than what you are offered (or better rates will come out just after you close). You just have to do the best you can with what you have and hope that you did as well as the next guy (and remember that you certainly are doing better than those who bought into DVC without first having done any research). :grouphug:
