What am i missung from my plan??

Hey, booked to go 17th of September 2014 my ADR date is fast approaching. I have worked out a provisional plan. 17th- arrived, quick service at POR 18th- rainforest cafe AK dinner 19th- CRT for breakfast MK 20th- chef mickeys for dinner 21st- 50's prime time HS for dinner 22nd- San angel E for dinner 23rd- hoop de doo dinner show 24th- o'hana for dinner 25th- saana for dinner 26th- beaches and cream at lunch (for kitchen sink!) and BOG dinner I have 3 credits remaining and four days left of our holiday. I thought one more character dining but not sure which one?? And need two other restraunts. The kids are keen on t-Rex at down town disney and sci fi at HS, I am not so sure. And suggestions very welcome, am I missing something we should eat??

Coral reef is also on the short list but it has quite mixed reviews!

I do not know how old your kids are, but here are some things our family enjoys:

Character Meal: Garden Grill (served family style so no running around to buffets but all you can eat for my bottomless teenagers). This dinner is in a rotating restaurant, which is kind of cool for the kids and overlooks "The Land" river ride which is neat. In addition you get to see Mickey and Chip and Dale in Farmer Gear. We have done all the character meals now and this one has some of the best interaction. The food is a little on the boring side, but nice comfort food.

Magic Kingdom: Liberty Tree for lunch. The lunch service is off a menu so everyone gets to pick and we find the food much better at lunch. My hubby loves the pot roast and the ooey gooey toffee cake is as good as the name implies. It is a nice quiet and restful spot in the middle of the Magic Kingdom with wonderful food. The Declaration Salad is one of my favorites!

DHS: Book a Fantasmic Dinner Package at Mama Melrose. You get reserved seats for the Fantasmic show and the Italian food is decent. This is NOT great Italian, as the Italian family members will heartily proclaim, but we have had good food with some excellent servers here.

Animal Kingdom Area resort: Boma had some kicking soups and I adore their salmon. Desserts were astonishing. The only down side is that it is LOUD in there.

I LOVE Sci-Fi but the seating is in faux convertible cars, and everyone is pointed the same direction. There are limited opportunities to converse and it is hard if you have little ones who need help with their meal.

T-Rex is fun, but we found the food here to be sub-par on each visit. There were too many things which were room temperature which should have been either hot or cold. The service was lackluster at each visit with drinks sitting empty for most of the meal and uncleared plates from the appetizer taking up needed table space. The restaurant itself was really amazing to see, but as a restaurant it does not get our family double thumbs up.

Edited to Add: 1900 Park Fare for dinner is a HOOT! The Wicked Step-Mother, Lady Tremaine, is hilarious as are her two daughters. Cindy and Prince Charming are as lovely as the picture they will pose for with you. The food is decent and the Grand Floridian is beautiful to visit.

Thankyou for your reply our daughter will be 9 and our son will be 7. My feelings on t-Rex and and scifi are about the same as yours. But to stop the moaning I need to provide an alternative!

Would you choose boma over saana? I had been struggling to decide but thought saana purely because of the views.

1900 PF def sounds like fun, I shall do a bit of reading around it

Given that your kids are still young enough that they need to be accompanied to the buffet line and the lack of animal views at Boma I would recommend Sanaa.

If you had teenaged boys who like to eat their body weight at least once per day, then Boma would be my most recommended.

1900 Park Fare is princess without being too girly. The addition of the snarky Lady Tremaine and her two "adorable" daughters adds a little spunk to go along with all the sugar and sweetness. My teenaged son will happily eat here but will not do a meal at Akershus or Cinderella's Royal Table which both suffer from a lot of estrogen.
