What am I doing wong - countdown ticker issue

My countdown ticker was wrong- it had more days than I had on my ticket til my next vacation so I went to try and fix it. When I copied and pasted the ticker it did not show the new ticker in the preview but the url address. What am I doing wrong?

The pseudo HTML worked for me finally!

But why is Stich on the wrong side of ticker?
Shouldn't he be almost all the way to the right?

Not if you just made the ticker. The ticker length is equal to however much time you have left. If you create the ticker 100 days out from your trip Stitch will move more slowly across it. If you create your ticker 7 days out from your trip, he will move more quickly across it.

100 days = 100% of the ticker length or
7 days = 100% of the ticker length.
