Have people flown on? I have been checking SW airlines and they are cheap and have non stop flights Delta is more and all are with stops is there any other airlines out of Buffalo that people have flown that are good prices and no stops? Also alot of the flights for when I want to go for were available this morning and now are not there do they keep adding flights for that day or is what listed now is all I am looking the 1 st of may

I believe the first SW flight of the day (7am) is usually non stop. JetBlue goes through NY and Air Tran through Atlanta.

Southwest has 2 flights per day that are non-stop. And as far as I know they are the only airlines that fly non-stop out of Buffalo. :thumbsup2

We're down in Florida right now and our flight left last Thursday morning at 7:25. :sunny:

Thanks guys ... and lucky you Sammi !!!!! I have noticed SW is the cheapest and the only ones pretty much that have ns flights I have not booked anything yet but notice the day I want to leave is getting booked up for the NS flights I hope they add more flights closer to the time ?? Or is what is comming up right now gonna be the only flights out for my date?

us air and united used to have a code shared non stop on saturdays...do not know if they still do...since we usually fly SW

Joann I used to live in Burlington (actually Waterdown Rd) which is close enough to Burlington!) :thumbsup2

I wouldn't get too worried about your dates filling up as I've checked many times for specific dates and one day they may have no seats available for that day and then the next day they surprisingly do! This trip was a last minute thing as on Christmas Day we got a Ding fare for NS $34.00 each way :thumbsup2 and we couldn't resist! :rotfl2: I would get set up with Ding if I were you....even other rates for your dates can be a good deal as we pay way too much to fly from Canadian airports! :sad2:

Gotta run as we're off to Epcot!!!

Thanks guys.... Thanks Sammi My best friend lives in waterdown I go down waterdown road all the time I am on applebyline near brittania rd hehe.. Thats what I was wondering I see a good flight leaving may 1st at around 7 am non stop and wondering if I dont book it now for then will I lose out on that day with them or do they get more planes when these are sold out or is this it what is comming up now for may 1st? I have ding one came up this morning its full but also only till march 31 so no good for me hehe.I dont know if I should book the flights now whats there or chance it and wait? I agree flying from Toronto is almost 1000 dollars more how sad!

Joann, I would book now! That way when the DING rate comes up, you cancel your seat then rebook with the DING rate. It's possible though that when you get the DING there won't be seats available at the times you like. Keep your fingers crossed that you'll get a DING rate! I always book the flight at the cheapest fare, then when DING comes out I rebook. So far I've been very lucky!

Is there no penalty for cancelling and rebooking? Do you do all of that online? We are waiting for my son's hockey schedules to come out before we can book our flights. Can you change dates as well?

And another Q from me... if I book the flight with Southwest for October (when it comes out) and happen to get an amazing deal so cancel and rebook amazing deal what happens with the difference? If it is a credit could I use that towards my Dec 2007 trip or do I have to use it within a certain amount of time? Do you pay the flights in advance? What about insurance of some type... is it available if you book the flight yourself or do you bother with it?

Ok... so that was more then 1 Q but I've never booked my own flights before!

Wow, I just typed out a response and when I went to post it, it said I wasn't logged in!!! :furious:
Ok, this is my personal experience:
Damo- The only penalty you have is if you book a non refundable flight you can not get your money back, you have to use your credit towards another flight at a future date before the one year expiry of your funds. You can do everything online or you can call SW. If it's a DING rate that will not do it over the phone.
B&BMom - What I do is have a screen open with the DING fare all the way to booking with your information(name and such), then open another SW screen and cancel reservation. Once you cancel your original reservation, then you get a confirmation #, you need that info to put in to your DING booking screen. We never buy cancellation insurance as you can cancel with SW and rebook. What I've done in the past is sold my credit with SW to a friend. I've also bought someone else's credit from them. All you need is the confirmation number and credit card holder name to book a flight when using a credit.
I hope I've answered your questions.

Just curious Marilynn....when you buy or sell SWA credit, are you able to change the booking names when you rebook (or will it still be under the original name?)?

It's then booked under your name, and if you end up cancelling that then it's under your name. You get a whole new confirmation number then, from my understanding.

We flew Airtran in December and where very happy with their service. They have ONLY 1 Non stop flight it's on Saturdays @ 11am

I just booked with SW earlier tonight they seem to be the cheapest plus have more non stop flights then anyone else .... I called them and was told how to quickly cancel and get a ding rate if one should come up!

We fly Southwest. They don't charge for changes or cancellations. They usually are cheaper than the other sirlines and they have 2 NS flights each day.
