My kids will be 10, 8 and 5. The five year old is actually the bravest. Will Terminator be too much for them? TIA

I missed this show the past couple trips so I don't remember a whole lot about the show, but I believe it's a Rated R type show, just like the movies. There isn't any vulgar language that I recall just violence. I personally would say to pass on the ride just from what I remember, but someone on here will have better advice for ya..:)

It's fake violence, just like the movies. IIRC, nobody gets shot (i.e. you don't see blood, bodies, etc.). I'd call it PG violence. I guess the robots/Terminators could be a little intense if a kid is too young to know the difference between real and fake. My youngest was 6 when she saw it and she was fine.

The only thing is that the gunshots are loud but no louder than any stunt show you'd regularly see at UO or WDW.

DS was 6 last time we went and a fairly nervous child (he doesn't like blood/violence or anything like that). he absolutely loved the show, though. I made sure to tell him beforehand that it was only acting and none of it was real and he was fine with that.

You know your kids best, if you think they'll be Ok they probably will.

My 6 year old LOVED IT! I did prep him for it ahead of time.. but he really liked it!!!!

I watched Terminator 2 with my son, age 5, before we went and he loved the Universal show...so did I. A lot of the rides and shows are on Youtube. I don't know about T2.

My nephew was 5 I believe the first time he saw it. He was/is(Not sure if he still is at 8...Saw Avatar was fine with it)afraid of the 3D elements in it. Idk how your kids are but the Terminator gets in your face due to the awesome 3D atmosphere.

There is loud gunshots but other then that its not rly a scary thing. One of my favorite things to do there. Last time nephew saw at 7 I believe he closed eyes through but said that was awesome after. Coulda been so I didn't make him go again lol.

But like the others said you know your kids best. If they can handle loud gunshots and 3D elements then its fun. If they get scared take off the glasses and plug ears.

I highly recommend seeing! :)

Thanks everyone. I guess we'll see. They really don't like 3-D stuff coming at them (in fact they watch Philharmagic with the glasses off:lmao:). So maybe this isn't for them. On the other hand, if they watch it without the glasses maybe they would like it:confused3

Be careful with Spiderman and Shrek also. My nephew screamed for his Mommy on Shrek...Which I never thought would happen.

I would say let em watch it w/o glasses. You could always go a second time if they decide they want to see it with them. Or keep takin em off and on like my nephew did to see difference.

Idk what it is about kids that they can't get that the objects rly are not comin out of the screen at them but Nephew never got it. We go again in 3 months and I am rly curious if his fear of 3D has diminished.

I just recently saw Terminator for the first time this past weekend. To me, it felt like I was watching a movie more if anything. There didn't seem to be much of the 3D stuff in your face as other things are.

I am sometimes bothered by 3D effects in my face. It's just some weird fear of mine, but I didn't really feel any need to close my eyes at any point during this. It startled me a few times with loud noises, but other than that, it wasn't too bad.
