What age for Dora Links Doll?

DD9 has this Dora Links doll on her Christmas List. I am surprised since she outgrew Dora a few years ago. I know I heard that Dora is going to be older now? Is this really going to attract older kids? Is this Doll still for the preschool set or will it be appropriate for a 9 year old? She is a bit on the immature side so I guess if it would be fun for 7-8 year old then she would like it. But I am worried the computer games will be too simplistic for her?

My DD9 has also asked for it and I did get it for her. She too has way outgrown Dora the Explorer but she says that this Dora has grown up and says she likes the way she looks now.
