I'm probably getting ahead of myself here, but need something to get me through the sleep deprivation! ;)

Would love to take Evie to DLP in the next year or so. So my question is, what age did you first take your chilkd/children to DLP? Just being nosy really! :flower:

The first time we went DS was 2 and a half, and DD was 5. DD loved it! DS was scared of most of the characters!

DD first visit about 11mths. As you can see she had a ball :)

I didn't visit DLP until I was 13, however I had visited WDW at the age of 2.

We waited until our first DD was two and a half before we took her to DLP. BUT we then took our second DD to WDW when she was just 16 months. It makes life much easier if you don't have to worry about sterilising, and easier still if they are on to solid foods, so you don't have to worry about warming up jars.

Youngest DD had just turned 1 the first time we went. She didn't really like the characters but went on more rides during that visit than she does now! But then she didn't have any choice first time round!

We took DD just before her 3rd birthday. She was a nice age for going on most rides and loved Fantasyland. She didn't like the characters very much at all especially the larger ones, ie Baloo and Eeyore.

Took youngest daughter last summer when she was 2 and a quarter! Thoroughly enjoyed Dumbo ride and quite a few others, even went on her first pony ride ever, at Davy Crockett ranch. We have a video of elder daughter and me on thunder mountain. Youngest keeps saying she wants to go on it. She needs to grow another 8cm though!

We first went to DLP in May of 1993 just before my son turned 4 in the June, my daughters were 7 and 9. They all had a wonderful time (so did I!) although my son can't really remember very much from that first trip. One thing I do wish we had done though was to hire a buggy for him.
Also because we hadn't done our homework on the rides before we went we took him on POC and that finished him off for rides for the rest of the holiday!

I have never been to DLP (planning for Jan 07), but the first time we took our DDs to Tokyo DL in 2004, was when they were 4 and 7. The younger seemed to enjoy it, but in a fairly passive sort of way. The older really got into most everything! including what I thought might be scary, like Star Tours.

The younger got tired quite easily despite being in a pushchair, so we had to take frequent breaks.

1 year later in 2005, we brought them to TDL again. This time, the younger (5 this time), really got into it! although she doesn't like thrill rides like the older one. But she is hooked and has repeatedly asked to go back to Mickey's home.

Having said that, we still had to take many breaks as she found it all quite overwhelming after a while. It was a day trip for us so we couldn't go back to a hotel - that would have helped.

my dd was 5 when we went to dlrp first time. we went back to dlrp just before christmas where she celebrated her 9th birthday, it was also my ds first time and he is 4, and he hasn't stopped talking about it since. everyweekend he asks if we are going back today, i tell him i would like to but dh says not for awhile!!!!!!

i'll get us back there again, one day!!!!!!!!!

My youngest has been to WDW at 4 months, DL at 10 months, and DLP at 18 months. My oldest we took for the first time for his 3rd birthday - we went to DL. DD went for the first time at 2 almost 3 (WDW) and was tall enough that she went on a ton of rides!! We've had great trips all around, the baby was great on the trips, she loves going!
