What age did you buy your child a laptop?

My oldest was 8 when he got his, my daughter was 6 and my youngest son was 8. And yes they are theirs, and they don't share, they have to take them to school everyday, they are in a designated laptop program at school and you have to buy them a computer to be in that program.

My 15 year old bought her own last year as she saved her money all year for it.....my 11 and 9 year old use the house computer if they want/need the computer.

DS10 had been saving his money (birthday & babysitting) for the past year for a laptop. .

Your 10 year old babysits?! I'm pretty laid back, but dd13 didn't start watching other children until this year. Although I might leave a 10 year old home alone, I wouldn't want one responsible for other children.
