What activities do you enjoy doing solo?

With Marie not, as yet, returning with me to WDW, I have taken many solo trips there. With that said, most of my time there is with folks from here on the board, individuals, families. I do however enjoy my actual solo time there, when I have some.

I like to take a walk to the park with a good book and just relax under a tree or something when it's really nice out. I like going to the movies too. I actually enjoy them better when i'm alone...that's kind of strange I guess

I enjoy shopping by myself. However, now that the weather is warmer, my favorite thing to do by myself is sitting on my deck with a good book (or my computer).

Sleeping Seriously. Poor DH - I practically kick him out of bed all of the time.

I also like spending time at the barn alone with just the horses, cats, dogs and any other critter who shows up.

I also MUCH prefer grocery shopping alone. If DH or DD go, it costs more than twice as much as if I went alone!

Thanks for everyone's input. I have a couple years before empty nest syndrome starts to kick in. I guess I have to prepare for it. These are good ideas here and I love to hear how people enjoy and even crave "alone" time.

I have a young kids so it's hard to find time alone. I enjoy my time with my girls, but I do enjoy my time in the shower alone. Sometimes the youngest will just burst in the bathroom while I'm in the shower just to ask me a question or tell on her sister. I do love to just sit and watch a show alone, like Law and Order or anything or even read a book. It's hard to just sit still and relax.

Even though I most of the time I like to go grocery shopping alone (it saves me money)... I sometimes want DBF to go with me.. but when he goes my bill is almost double....it id funny I see myself (as a kid) in him... he puts things in the basket and then when I go to unload the cart at the register I find the "stuff" he put in there...

I like this thread.. it gives me things to think about when I am bored and alone....

I spend most of my days alone since i quit my job and the kids are in school. That will end in a couple of weeks though I find I can't get any housework done if anyone is home, so that is what i do during the day. Otherwise, I read, watch movies at home, clothes shopping, grocery shopping most of the time, paint figurines, may take up sewing or quilting. I've only ever gone to two movies alone - but did enjoy it. Don't really enjoy eating out alone though.
