Sorry if this is repetitive, I have not seen anyone post about this. We are scheduled to cruise 9/20/21 (4 night). My wife and I are fully vaccinated, but 2 16 yr olds traveling are not. To be considered fully vaccinated you have to have your 2nd dose 14 days prior to cruising. There is no way to get 2nd dose by that date. It appears that the only option is to cancel. Is anyone else in a similar situation? If so what are you doing?

Not in that situation, but you have no other recourse but to cancel. Take a land vacation instead - a lot less hassle.

You can push it out to another date while you are working to get them vaccinated. I would allow at least 6 weeks from now just to make sure you had enough buffer.

I’d hope that the cruise lines would be flexible in working with passengers in this predicament who would need to push the date back tp accommodate a vaccination schedule.

There are only two options: cancel cruise or reschedule for when they are vaccinated. You can move and hope the vaccine requirement goes away but that doesn't seem likely.

Right, but if your cruise is less than 5 weeks away, there is no way to finish and be considered fully vaccinated before the cruise.

yup and if you got the first dose today the first cruise you could be on is 9/25 which doesn’t help (if my math is right) 9 cruises of guests. Since school is in session it’s probably not significant numbers but it’s still numbers which stinks.

I believe I read somewhere that affected sailings have until 9/3 to cancel or reschedule their existing cruise to another date, w/o penalty

Im in the same boat ha ha... Just had to cancel September 6th cruise. Not enough time to get the vaccine. I also dont like that I didnt get a refund for the travel insurance.

And remember, DCL only can work with you to reschedule. The rule is Bahamian and has no wiggle.

YeH, I think if the vaccine had just come available for teens it’s be a dilemma, but it’s been available for months. Not sure what they will do.

I am requesting a full refund including insurance fees. I spoke to Disney, they told me to have the agent put in the request. It might be worth if for you to do so as well. just like us, you are not canceling for any reason/fault of your own.

Unfortunately when you book with an agent Disney will not work directly with you, all requests have to go through the agent.
