what about disney world keeps you coming back to it. i love it. but what makes other people come back :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: go disney go

The promise of a better tomorrow.

The laughter of the crowd, the smiles on the faces of children of all ages.

The excitment of fireworks, parades, and amusement rides. The food, the service, the idea of waking to Mickey's phone call.

the sense of security of being where people want to work and the simple joy of meeting new people.

The knowledge that no two days at Disney will ever be exactly the same.

:wizard:  :cool1: :thumbsup2

I keep coming back to it because there is NO place like it anywhere else! It's an experience, not just a place to go ride a bunch of rides.

It's the ridiculous planning that I do in the months leading up to our trip, which serves to heighten my suspense and excitement....it's the feeling you get when you drive under the arch and know you have officially arrived!!

I guess I'm just enamoured with Disney - I could just walk up and down Main Street all day and take it all in. I also love traveling to all those countries in Epcot in one day!

There's also something new every time I go! This trip coming up we will be seeing Animal Kingdom for the first time; also Soarin' and Everest!

Can't wait! :Pinkbounc

For me it's -

The family time, the smiles on the kids faces, the way it makes you feel like a kid, the way you feel happy the entire time your there. The way the parks are set up so a lot of the rides are indoors or the lines are indoors unlike most parks. How the parks are always spotless. All the great restaurants at the hotels and parks. How you want to go back over and over. There are so many things we love about Disney! I could go on and on!

My son is on the spectrum and when we went to disney the first time this year he started to talk! Yes, real words, BUS, Parade, Mouse, Boat! This had me crying as did the fireworks show Wishes. I keep hoping my DS gets better and it seems that he is. It is the magic!

That is why we keep going back, my DS speaks!

For me its the whole atmosphere. The way you feel when you are in the parks. The way the parks are set up - for example on Main ST. You get to see the castle, smells the candy being made and the fresh items from the bakery, listen to the performers, hug the characters, ride the trolley, hear the back ground music etc. its just AWESOME!!! :cloud9:

The way that Disney gets thousands and thousands of people in and out of the parks in such an organized way each day. Whether you stay on or off the premises everything is so organized! :moped:

The site of the monorails going in and out of the contemporary and traveling to and from Epcot. It just seems so futuristic! It still takes my breathe away. :yay:

The shows, all the details. In fact, I saw Beauty and the Beast on Broadway and the show at MGM is just as good. Wishes, Fantasmic and Illuminations!! They still make my jaw drop!

The way the MK looks at 3:45 after the 3:00 parade-- popcorn:: all cleaned up!!

How clean the parks look at opening!! ( I don't know how they do it when the parks are open until 3:00 AM. :wizard:

All the details of the rides. They are not just rides, they are experiences for all of your senses. pixiedust:

The variety of rides!! from Test Track, to Mission Space, to EE, RnR , TOT to Soarin" Each offers its own thrill!!!! :dance3:

The theming of the hotels. We took a surrey bike ride around the boardwalk/ beach club area. It was amazing the way each resort felt different. At the boardwalk everything was so festive, there was alot going on, but just across the lagoon, everything was so relaxing at the beach club. :smickey:

The fact that I have just a good of time with my kids that I did with my parents when we went with them. Its just ageless fun!! :grouphug:

its the feeling of happiness when you walk thru the gates.. Everything you have wished for all falls into one magical place. :sunny:

Everything about it! It's the most magical place I've been (and I've been to many beautiful places around the world)--really there's nothing like it, even if it's all Imagineered pretend. ;)

1. the look on my kids faces.
2. 2 weeks of family time; no phone calls, no work, no distraction.....family.
3. It is the happiest place on earth.
4. the rides, shows, etc.
5. the memories......

we do other little vacations, go to other parks (Marineland, African Lion Safari, Paramount Canada's Wonderland, Metro Toronto Zoo, etc) but nothing compares to our Disney experiences. 21 hours driving is part of the experience, so are the resorts, nothing can dull the excitement of Disney. :wizard:

For me its:

Getting away from reality and going into Fantasy

Seeing my DS's faces light up when they see their favorite character

Walking down Main Street holding DH's hand

I quote from Wizard of Oz, "There is No Place Like Home."

This may sound silly but it's really the only vacation place that DH and I get along really well. I always have to be doing something, going somewhere (even on vacation). He would love to just lay in a hotel and watch tv all day. But at Disney there's something for both of us. He gets excited about the parks and I can even get excited about some downtime in the afternoon. Now that we have a 4 year old, her excitement is contagious. We see things through her eyes now and it's a "whole new world". It just seems like a true fit; it's a comfortable place for us. We love the old, but love discovering the new as well.
