My DH just asked if there was a place to play pool at WDW. I told him no and he thinks I'm crazy. There has to be somewhere, I said no you'll have to go offsite to some bar. Which got me thinking why not a Dave & Buster's type place at DTD?

I would love that idea, although I think the downside would be that D&B is designed more for adults (hence the usual five bars, etc) which runs kinda counter to Disney Themes. Maybe if they made it part of Pleasure Island, that way after 8 pm or so it would be geared more towards adults....I think it could be done (if they got rid of DisneyQuest)

Saratoga Springs has a pool table in the lounge outside the Turf Club. Only one I have seen anywhere.

ESPN Zone will be replacing DisneyQuest. ESPN Zone is similar to D&B. There is one already one at DT Disneyland.

And I think the GVs at AKV have pool tables in them, don't they? So just save those points.:faint:

Please provide a link confirming that "ESPN Zone will be replacing DisneyQuest." I have not seen such an announcement.

As far as I know, the ESPN Zone story is nothing more than a Jim Hill rumor from a few years ago, claiming "WDW's DisneyQuest to close in early 2008."

Clearly, DisneyQuest didn't close in early 2008. Jim Hill likes to publish dubious rumors and his own conjecture as facts.

That doesn't mean DisneyQuest won't eventually close, or that WDW won't eventually gain an ESPN Zone. It's possible that the current DisneyQuest could become an ESPN Zone. It's also possible that the Virgin Megastore could become an ESPN Zone. And with the rebranding of Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex with the ESPN brand, it's possible an ESPN Zone could be built there. Or it's possible that WDW won't get an ESPN Zone anytime in the foreseeable future.

It's been a few years, but the last time we ate at the ESPN restaurant at BW we played pool.:confused3 Are the pool tables gone?
