I'm so sorry that she couldn't wear her new costume. Wish she could come by my house. I have loads of candy left over and I'm bound to eat it myself!

I'll never forget the year I had mumps on Halloween. We lived across the street from the elementary school, so I watched the Halloween costume parade from our window and cried. It's a bummer to miss out, when you've had big plans.

Please give her a hug from all of us. Hope you can get her an autograph soon. Bet our DISers will come through. Get well quick pixie dust headed your way.

Thanks again ya'll. Special thanks to Kara and her mom. Karen is feeling much better tonight. We have had friends drop by the house today and bring lots of candy, new pajamas, and cute slippers. She was very touched by all the good wishes she recieved from the DIS. Again, I can't thank you all enough. What a wonderful "family" this is!

when I was 7 or 8 I had to miss trick-or-treating, I was too sick...doctor's orders that I had to miss out. I was heartbroken, but I remember my doctor put together a bag of candy bars and suckers for me. I know they always gave suckers out to kids when they had to go to the doctor, but I have no idea where he got all the candy bars he put in the bag. I'll never forget that, I just thought that was so sweet of him to do that for me. I did get to pass candy out to the kids who came to our door, but it wasn't near as much fun as going out myself.
