What a strange Disney Visa question regarding FD

From my understanding, if FD is offered, you must put a deposit of $200 onto the Disney Visa Credit card in order to take advantage of the offer before the general public. BUT, what if the vacation package has been paid off in full and the Visa Card was not used? How do I put a $200 deposit down on something that I do not owe any money on? Has anyone dealt with this situation before?

You can wait for the general public offer or you can have Disney refund the money you paid and then make an immediate payment with the Disney Visa.

Basically, this is standard procedure whenever you book a package through WDW TC.

To take advantage of any package discount offer, you must put down a $200 deposit on the new offer. That's probably why you were told this in advance of any actual offer. Basically you have to fully cancel the old one and buy a new package.

If the vacation is paid in full, then you will get a full refund for what you previously paid. You will, however, keep your previously made dining and (I think, FP ) reservations. Unless you cancel them specifically.

The refund to your cc may take a little while longer to process than the charges, so if you are more than 45 days out, you may want to spread the charges a bit. It usually takes about two days for the charges to show, and a week for a refund. Know when your cc statement is going to close.

Actually, you don't need to pay the anything on your Disney Visa. You just need to be a Disney Visa cardholder. If your package is already paid in full just call Disney the day the offer is released and tell them your a Disney Visa cardholder. They will want you to give them the numbers from your Disney Visa to verify that you are indeed a cardholder.
