What a plan! Simple, yet insane. **New 4/19 Link to new PTR**

Hey there! I'm a newbie to your trip report and have caught up via all of your wonderful links in the first post. Meaning, I skipped all of the chit chat. I hated doing that 'cause chit chatting is part of the fun. However, given the fact that I am at work and trying to act like I am working , I had to catch up as quickly as I could. I actually found your trip report because of Jordan's wonderful pimping skills.

Let's see if I can remember what it was that I wanted to comment on. Hum....oh, yeah, we are kindred spirits because my trip report also has lots of smileys and lots of (). But, I also throw in a lot of ....'s and !'s too.

I don't blame you one bit for wanting to stay at Bill's parents vacation home. The view is simply amazing and the house is so pretty. We live in a log home which you don't see a lot of in Louisiana.

Resortchangeitus! Who ever ever heard of such a disease? "Not I!" said mickeystoontown. Actually, I always price out each and every Disney resort before going back to our old standby...the CBR. You guys made quite a leap from Pop to Boardwalk. You lucky ducks!

I watched the video link that you posted and I have to tell you I was moved to tears. It hurt my heart to think of all those people. Thanks for reminding us that when we think we have it bad, it's just a drop in the bucket compared to others.

My daughter has around 350 pins that she has collected over the years. Many of those we bought off ebay from my favorite seller. We would buy several thinking she would take them to trade; however, when we got them, she wanted to keep most of them. So, I can certainly sympathize with you guys.

That's all I can think of that I wanted to comment on. I look forward to reading more!

Welcome!! I am so happy the links helped you out. The chit chat was a lot of Oregonmommy and I talking about possibly doing a meet during our December trip, she is hilarious.

Yay, I love smileys, !!!, and ( ), I can't help it.

I am going to take tons of pictures when we are at Bill's parents vacation home. She went crazy over a photo book I did for Bill so I am going to make one for her for Christmas with the pictures I take.

I am excited about Boardwalk, but I am glad we are going to Pop in December.

The Mito video made me cry. I have followed little Savannah's life since she was born and to see her in pain is heartbreaking. I had never heard of that disease until Savannah was diagnosed.

We love collecting the pins. It is great to see how many pins others have.

My name is Dug. I have just met you, and I love you. – Dug from Up​

Ip-Dip (definition from Buzz who used to be known as Montana Disney fan) – Whenever someone does something dumb, they’re an “Ip-Dip”. When I lost the car last year at Downtown Disney, Loud Girl called me an “Ip-Dip”.​

Back in 2008 Buzz made an offhanded comment that people should go down to Disney when his family was their annual trip and hang out with them. It blossomed into an annual meet. There were 14 of us the first year (Amy a person that was traveling with me and Bill took the picture).​

Last year Bill and I didn’t get to attend , we were going in November with Josh and his family, so this year we are definitely going. As of today there are 20 confirmed coming and 13 more planning on coming. We are in the process of trying to decide on a restaurant. It is going to be hard when people aren’t going to know if they are coming until later into the year. ​

I used the Dug quote for this installment because I truly adore the people we are going to go see, the ones I have met and the ones I have yet to meet. If it wasn’t for them we would not be going in October at all. ​

For OCD planners like me it is kind of unnerving not knowing how many people are coming, where we should have the dinner, if there will be other meets, etc. It is so hard to know what to do if you know what I mean. I have some preliminary plans. We are doing to try to do Dine with the Imagineer if it is still offered and I think Scott is going to try to go too. ​

I told Bill if he wants a deluxe resort in October, we do Pop Century in December and I put my foot down about it. He wants to stay for a long time and Pop is the most logical choice and we really like it there. ​

There is also one HUGE bonus of staying at Pop in December. Toni and Terry aka oregonmommyof2/oregondaddyof2 are going to be there as well. It makes me extremely happy

It's been a long, hard day, full of emotional turmoil and dinosaur fights. – Wilbur from Meet the Robinsons

Oh the possibilities, no dining plan, quick service dining plan, or basic dining plan, it has been driving me crazy

.

First I thought no dining plan because there are going to be a lot of people from Enchanted at Disney and I would think there might be some mini meets in addition to the IDD = Ip Dip Dinner. Being tied to ADR’s can be a pain when you are trying to plan a lot of meets

at various times.

Then I thought well if we do the QSDP we will have our meals paid for ahead of time and there would be no ADR issues. When I told Bill this it I got “angry eyes”

. There was emotional turmoil and dinosaur fights, well ok, not fights but a lot of growling. He LOVES the restaurants at Disney and it looked like I took his favorite toy away.

Back to the usual basic dining plan I went

. We are creatures of habit I guess. Staying at the Boardwalk opened up different dining options for us. The first night I am not making ADR’s anywhere

which is very odd to me.

Here is the ADR line up (I reserve the right to change these multiple times

Oct. 21st: Arrival Day, DHS or Epcot

Breakfast – no where - neither of us like to eat before the flight, sometimes we will eat the breakfast bar they give us on the plane, more often than not it gets thrown in the bag Bill has on the back of his wheelchair.

Lunch – ESPN Club, since we don’t know if the room will be ready or not we decided to just drop in here after we check in and explore.

Dinner – A counter service either at DHS if we decide to go to Fantasmic OR Epcot if we decide to check out the Eat to the Beat concert that night. We might just grab some stuff from the Food and Wine Festival going on with our snack credits if we end up at Epcot. According to the tentative schedule on allears, .38 Special is supposed to be playing that night and anyone that knows Bill, knows he loves him some 80’s music

. His eyes lit up when I told him who might be there and Lord help me Night Ranger is scheduled for that weekend

Oct. 22nd: MK

Breakfast – Cape May Café Character breakfast buffet. With being so close to the Beach Club, I had to try it. Kristel’s (lazydoxy’s) TR really helped me decide to do this. It is hard talking Bill into breakfast ADR’s he doesn’t like being tied down in the mornings, but this sounded good to him too.

Lunch – We are going to MK today and he says he wants a Dole Whip for lunch

. Since we are having dinner around 4pm and we are at WDW why not?

Dinner – Crystal Palace, we are doing character dining overload today it seems. We want the earliest dinner ADR we can get since we are going to the Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party I know they will have that night even though the dates haven’t come out yet. They usually have them on Fridays and according to the official hours MK closes at 7pm.

Oct. 23rd: Epcot

Breakfast - Might be nothing, might grab something from the Boardwalk Bakery

Lunch – Sunshine Seasons, Bill’s favorite counter service.

Dinner – Ip Dip Dinner night, right now with the poll we are having on Enchanted Captain’s Grille at the Yacht Club is in the lead. We have also talked about going over to Jellyrolls to hang out.

Jordan gave me some alternatives to Jellyrolls that might work since some of the Ip Dippers will have kids with them and they aren’t allowed in Jellyrolls. He said:

ESPN is open til 12:30am and kids are actually welcome in the bar area if they are not sitting AT the bar.

Bellevue Lounge--small bar area with an outdoor balcony may do

If all you are going to do is hangout -- the porch off the lobby of the Boardwalk is nice or downstairs underneath the porch there is a sitting area.

Since there are rooms facing the Boardwalk, I would not normally suggest sitting on the Boardwalk, but along the Boardwalk there tables that can be put together...

There are so many things to think of when planning with 20+ people. We will figure it all out.

Oct. 24th: Epcot again

Breakfast – Boardwalk Bakery or maybe something from the France Pavilion.

Lunch – A counter service not sure which one, what ever strikes us or we might do some Food and Wine fest booths.

Dinner – LeCellier, we are hoping for an early dinner so we can catch Illuminations. Hopefully we will see it the first night if we go to Epcot, if not I want to catch it this night.

Oct. 25th: DHS/MK

Breakfast – Probably nothing, we are sleeping in this day.

Lunch – Hopefully Dine with an Imagineer at DHS, Scott and Vinny are planning on trying to come too. Up to 8 people can book this so you never know maybe some other Ip Dippers might want to join too!

Dinner – Counter service at MK, we are going here to catch Spectromagic, our favorite parade.

Oct. 26th: Departure day, DHS

Breakfast – Boardwalk Bakery?

Lunch – counter service

Dinner – in St. Louis

I just have to remind myself that we will be back in Disney 35 days after we go home. Leaving WDW makes me extremely sad. Only people on these boards understand how deeply we love being there and it just devastates us to leave.

Terry and I enjoy the character breakfasts... we look forward to doing them even without the kids... We are total breakfast people though... Well, we are dinner and lunch people too... We like food I guess is what I am trying to say
