A kindergarten teacher here in a small Maine town has been arrested for posessing child porn on his home computer, some photos are allegedly of students. It's absolutely sickening. There is a special place in hell for him.

He had artworks that an overzealous person decided were child porn, although not too many others who saw them felt the same way. People have had a colored view of him since he whipped it out at the screening of an ADULT film while his children's show was still on the air. (No, I don't think people should go whipping it out, but to say that someone is a pedo because they whip it out during a film featuring ADULTS, not children is just...stupid.)

Anytime a DA doesn't think felony charges are warranted and someone below them files lesser charges on the last day possible, something smells funky.

He just collects weird stuff, big deal.

But he wasn't dressed as Pee Wee Herman. He was himself and in a legal adult movie. I think it's gross what he did but it didn't have anything to do with children. He was just being stupid, taking a chance like that, even though I think that's what men do in those kinds of movie theaters, not just him.

But I doubt that they are marketing themselves to children. I just found the whole thing to be very sleazy. To be honest, I thought there was something creepy about him before that incident. Afterwards, I was positive he was creepy.

Maybe I'm too young to have caught on to any of his creepiness (if he is indeed creepy) because I was little when I watched Pee Wee's Playhouse. I still know all the words to the opening song. I loved that show.

What a sick, sick teacher! Those poor children!

My dd is in kindergarten and before she started school I had a talk with her about how it is not okay for anyone to touch her certain ways or ask her to take off her clothes when it wasn't warranted, etc., and that she is to tell me if anyone ever tries. Not that I worry about her teachers doing something like that. I truly don't. BUT it's a sick world and you read about people like that and I wanted to be cautious and know that she knew enough to know it wasn't okay and to let me know...just in case. I also made sure she knew this went for anyone, another student, parent, etc., not just teachers. We also talked about what is okay and what isn't...such as exams at doctor's, etc. It sickens me that it was even necessary to have to talk to her about it but I definitely feel better knowing I did.

Um, kids don't DO porn, they are coerced or somehow forced to do it by adults. There are all sorts of sick (insert a word not allowed here) out there who do things to children, and photograph it or film of for the sick pleasure of other adults who get their jollies from it. It has nothing to do with the consent of the CHILDREN, they are the innocent victims of this hideous crime.

Child porn is illegal. But there are sick perverts out there (such as the teacher in the OP) that will take indecent photos and videos of children. Hence, child porn.

If they found porn on his computer, then I am sure it wouldn't be a huge stretch to think that he might have posted it online, or had intentions to, as well. He wouldn't be the first and, unfortunately, he won't be the last scum of the Earth to do so. Being illegal doesn't mean that perverts don't still do it.

And 5 year olds sure as heck aren't sitting around coming up with this on their own. A teacher is generally someone they trust at that age and think of as an authority figure so you do the math.

It is not just with porn though teachers and other people little kids trust well do it because unfortunately it is so easy

In our area we had a much loved 2nd grade teacher who was charged (and is now in jail for a long time) with molesting his boy students (he was also a Christian camp conselor, but apparently he didn't molest those boys, they were prob too old). I just didn't believe it..how could someone do that, someone so loved, and then he admitted his guilt. People had begged to get their kids in his classroom, he was considered such a good teacher. He and his pastor wife had a young child..she left him (good for her). Now they want her to bring her child to visit him in prison at her expense and time. They say it's his right.
