Just got back from a magical visit with the mouse! It was pure magic from beginning to end. We drove straight from Va. to Disney in a day which we have never done. Called the WL from the road to say we were getting in a day early and guess what? They had a room available with bunkbeds that we kept our entire time!! I was sure we would at least have to change rooms on Sat. Magic moment number one. On Sunday we went to CP at Epcot. Ate at Nine Dragons pre- show. Had a wonderful waiter who was lots of fun...magical moment number 2. The CP was extrememly moving! There are no words strong enough to describe its beauty. On the way back to the WL we had the boat all to ourselves! At the dock of the WL, our captain, David, suggested we watch the fireworks at the MK( it was a MVMCP night). We asked him the best place to watch and he suggested we stay on the boat and if we were lucky our timing would be right. So back to the MK we went but no one was waiting at the dock so we again had the boat to ourselves. Next thing we know, David stopped the boat in middle of the lake! About 5 min later we watched the most magnificent fireworks we had ever seen! He took us back to the lodge after the fireworks were done and he came down to greet us saying, "If I was Walt Disney himself I could not have planned that better!" I told him that his extra effort had given us precious memories...how can you thank someone enough for that? Add another magical moment. We had a marvelous Mousekeeper who made swans out of towels and played hide and seek with the kids stuffed toys among many other special "above and way beyond" things. Add more magic! The crowds were light...we never waited for a ride...the weather was perfect and I could go on forever! So whenever you read a post on these boards saying that the "magic" of WDW is gone, just remember my story please and know that the magic is very much still there.

for sharing your magical moments with us......Happy Holidays

You certainly got your share of magic this trip. It was fun reading about it. Have you posted anything about Capt. David on the "Just Say Thanks" board? He might get some gold stars at work if you do.

Thanks for sharing your trip with us.

Haven't posted on the "just say thanks" board yet but I am planning to. Just looking for the right words. I also want to write to "Captain David's" supervisors and have a letter in his permanent records. If I post on the "just say thanks" board, who gets the post and how does it get to "Captain david"? Do you know? I kicked myself many times during our trip for not getting those "what would Walt do" pins off the internet. Guess I still could huh? Hope you have a wonderful Christmas!

Thanks for sharing your magical story with us. Sounds like you guys really had a nice time. :)

Thanks so much for taking the time to include us in your special magic. Takes time to write reports, and want everyone to know how much we appreciate them,

Glad the magic continues!

what wonderful memories - thanks for sharing!

Dream, I believe the moderator of that board has some way of making sure the CM's get their good deeds known to their supervisor.

Thanks nativetxn! Do you believe I am STILL unpacking?!? As soon as I find the name of our "mousekeeper" I am firing off those glowing letters and hoping they bring as much magic to our wonderful CMs as they brought to us!

Your post made me cry! I am so glad you had such a magical time! I will be in Disney for 4 days starting on the 29th and cannot wait!

Thank you so much for posting such a great trip report. I'll admit that at times reading the boards gets me down hearing about cutbacks in perks or less than magical moments. Stories like yours get me as excited for our next trip as I was for our first.

Thanks!
