Well my day started as nomal get up get the kids up, eat breakfast, get dressed, get bags together, try to get out the house on time, drop DS to nursery & DD to school, parking at work .....you all know the routine!
Work on the same spreadsheet and work on it even longer than usual today, as I was making time up so as I could leave early to go and see my lovely darlings in their end of year assemblies. This was my first mistake!
I usually leave work at 3 to race to pick them up from school at 3.15 and just get there in time!! Well like I said I stayed late tonight till 5.30 traffic was bad so I decided to stay the extra half hour thinking less time to make up tomorrow! Next mistake!!
One of the boys turns round and says "did I hear that right I am sure they just gave out that there were 2 naked men walking down the motorway!" Great!! and there was an accident on the other road. Double whammy! explains why traffic was so bad. Did it stop there..... NO!!!
I finally leave at 6 to find a bus has managed to get itself stuck in the car park blocking the cars from going anywhere! After 20min of waiting the bus finally manages to move enough for the cars to get out so as he could pull some kind of manouver to get out himself, dont think he will make a wrong turn like that again! Due to the roads being solid where it usually takes less than 3 minutes to get out to the motorway it took 1hr!!!!!!
Also had to go food shopping as I didnt do it over the weekend as we went to the school summer fayre and a party as well as the usual run around on the weekends (yes I know that will teach me!)
I finally park the car to go shopping just got the trolley started to fill it up (now I have only been up 2 aisles) when my phone goes & the conersation goes a bit like this
DH: should I take DD5 to casualty now or wait till you come home?
Me:WHAT!! why???
DH: you know the bead necklace set she bought at the summer fayre (Just knew that would come back to haut me!) well she managed to get one of the beads stuck up her nose! I've tried to get it out with my fingers but can't!
Me: get her to blow her nose
DH: I cant she keeps blowing raspberries out of her mouth instead!
Me: have you tried pepper?
DH:no I will!
I decide the night has gone bad enough time to go home and calm her down to take her to casualty.. just about to go when a relaived DH phones back to say ITS OUT!!!
Now that would really have topped a great night to finish it off sitting in casualty till god knows what time with everyone laughing at how typical kids can be with small objects!! worst part is that DD is usually the sensible one these kind of things happen to my DS more!!
