As I posted in the other thread, the voting had to be messed up. Even George thought they were in the top three. Jennifer will go far anyway in whatever she does. I just dont think it was on the up and up this time.

Diana is from Snellville which is metro Atlanta. So she is a hometown girl here. They were passing out flyers to vote for her. She was really good last night. I also like LaToya and Jasmin. I will probably still watch, but I may be alone! I am still in shock!

Well I know I am in the minority but I'm glad to see her go. From day one I couldn't stand how she was always making faces. Now I will admit that she has more talent than some of those left behind, but I never thought she would be the American Idol. I'm sure she will do well as many who have made it that far on the show have, but I do think she needs to lose some of her attitude.

I agree with a fellow Atlantan that Diana's friends were passing out fliers to passing motorists to drive the vote for her. What a crock! I don't know why they judges liked her last night. I thought her performance was dreadful.

Obviously not all three divas were going to make it to the end, but I can't believe one of them was voted off before Diana, John, or Jasmine.

As for Jennifer's "attitude", I've never seen it. Fantasia is definitely the "attitude queen" in this bunch. Maybe this will have been a humbling experience for her.

I agree with both of you. I don't like Fantasia and Jennifer and wanted Fantasia to go tonight, because I feel Jennifer would have went sooner or later anyway. I like LaToya and Diana.

Come on folks, we all know that AI is a popularity contest. It comes down to who the viewers like, not the talent. This decision just confirms my decision not to watch AI. I think in cases where the voting is suspect - the judges should be able to override the viewers decision. JMHO

I can't believe John survived another week. He should have been gone a long time ago. I agree about Fantasia. I didn't like her the first time I saw her.

I posted on the other thread. I agree with everything that you have said DAVE!!! John, Jasmine, and Diana can sing, but nothing special. An American Idol should be well-rounded and those three are not, especially John. I have never seen any attitude problem from Jennifer, but Fantasia has a major attitude problem!! I still love her voice. I am still absolutely stunned!!!

It's all about who has the most people calling the most each week. Rueben's mom said that they had it organized for each show & she even voted over 200 times for the final vote. This problem would be eliminated if they would just make it so each phone line could only vote one time. It was just done for the Home Free show so they should be able to do that for AI. I'm honestly not a huge fan of Jennifer or Fantasia but the bottom 3 tonight was wrong. John & George should have been in it without question IMO.

It was? I didn't realize that. We only voted on the final episode, but we voted many, many times for the blue couple. Were we wasting our time? The recording never indicated that the votes weren't counting.

As far as AI, the show will probably end up going off the air after a few more seasones if the real talent doesn't win. I don't think Simon (or whoever it is that does it) is going to be willing to give out a million dollar contract to a non-talented artist. Don't get me wrong...everyone in this competition is talented, but some are more deserving of the contract than others. Unfortunately, I think the top three this week are getting a lot of votes from the teenagers. They aren't voting based on talent, but on looks. Also, I know a lot of adults at work that are hooked on AI, but refuse to vote because they think they will look silly voting on a TV show at their age.

I was very disappointed to see Jennifer go. I was hoping it would be Fantasia if one of them had to go. My favorite is still LaToya...she seems like such a nice person, and a class act.

Personally I think until they get down to maybe the top 4 you should vote who leaves the show. Sometimes early on there are multiple people that I want to see it come down to, but I don't want to spend the night voting for all of the them (easier with only one redial # )

I bet Fox won't do it because then they probably wouldn't set records for the number of votes each week.

Actually, that wouldn't be fair either. I'm not a fan of the show, in truth, because it seems to have nothing to do with talent. So, I agree with you, there is a problem with the voting system. BUT, the rules are set up and nobody is breaking them. Changing the rules (for next season...cannot change mid-season) to one vote per house isn't fair either. My BIL's family is watching. They have 6 people voting with one phone line. Why should only one of their votes count.
