I still haven't taken the plunge with Priceline, but I am going to in the next few days. After doing research, it seems I can get a 3* hotel for $35 in WDW vicinity & $38 in the Universal area. We are going to both, so it really doesn't matter where we stay. Any idea what hotels these are & how much the "extra" fees are?

Thanks,
Lori

If you haven't already done so, you should check out www.biddingfortravel.com. If you click on the Florida/Orlando area in the hotels section, a page will come up showing recent bids won (or rejected) and at the top of the list is the Orlando Hotels List. It isn't necessarily comprehensive as new hotels may show up at any time (and some listed seem to rarely show up), but it will give you an idea of which ones generally come up. I think some of the hotel reviews have info regarding extra fees paid. Anyway, this website is a great resource for anyone considering using Priceline.

Have a great trip!!

The majority of 3* hotels in the WDW area don't have any additional resort fees, the exception to this rule is Hotel Royal Plaza which has a $7.00/per day resort fee. I won this hotel at $40 through priceline and they informed me of the fee when I called to confirm reservations and asked if there was additional fees.
