What’s the earliest you have received your room assignment?

So far, 10:45ish for me...curious what resorts everyone was at and if they had any special requests!

9:15 was Coronado. Actually had to call and get moved because they put us in the building right next to the tower construction (Dec. 2017), which was the only place we 100% did not want to be. They were able to move us to Ranchos easily.

10:15 was Pop. They did give us top floor, which was the secondary request from online check in, but it was in the 90s which I hate. Again, had to call and they moved us to the 70s. First floor, but it was fine. Now I just request 60s/70s and hope I can get one.

Last year my parents got their room ready text (Pop) on the DME bus at like 10am, but my sister and I didn't get ours until 3pm. Turned out to be connecting rooms, so I guess ours just took longer to be vacated and cleaned. They were 60s lake view, which was perfect.

A few years ago at POR, we were in our room by 8:30am. Usually, the less busy it is, the more likely you'll be able to get into your room early. But in the current environment, I wouldn't necessarily expect that to be the case since they are taking extra cleaning precautions. The exception would be if you're assigned to a room that has been vacant for a period of time though.

The first year I used it we were notified on the ME bus before we arrived at POP (so likely 9am ish, we always take early flights). It has never been that early since. Last year it was after 5pm before the room was ready (and again, we had an early flight and had been on property since 930 am), this was at All Star Sports.

ETA: We did have certain requests each trip but they weren't fulfilled. I always fill out the request area, but haven't been lucky for the past 5 yrs.

What’s the earliest you have received your room assignment? I have always had to go to the desk . Now with distancing, maybe I will finally get a text! 😁

The concern I've always had about getting an early room assignment, is would it possibly reduce our chance of getting a complimentary room upgrade. Out of our 11 trips to the World staying on property, we've received 3 really good upgrades from standard views to concierge levels with premium views. One of which we got, we actually booked the room on the day we arrived.

Our room was ready before noon once. We were happy! Our rooms are not usually ready until after 3pm.

Not sure you can use pre-covid experiences on this subject since a lot about booking hotels/availability has changed since Disney reopened.

When we stayed at Poly a few years back we got our text just after we left the airport at about 1030.

We arrived on Sunday from Newark airport. When we landed at 1030am - my phone sent through our room ready text for boardwalk villas.

We have never received a room ready that early before.

7/2/19 5:18 AM - DisneyRoomAlts(1 of 2): Welcome! Your resort room is ready. Your room number is 159 1st Floor.

Week of 4th of July last year - 5:18am and our BCV Studio was ready.

On DME last summer, received the text at 10:15am as the bus pulled up to the front of the resort (Pop). Exact room location we wanted, and perfect timing.

I did an overnight flight one time and had a room at like 5 AM. This was in early May when AOA wasn't busy.

We fly and arrive about noon. Most trips I have a text waiting for me when I turn my phone back on that our room is ready.

last few times they have sent it while we were in the air....2-3 hours before arrival....usually arrive around 2pm.

Only got stuck 1x in last few years waiting till 4 for a room.
