Always an orange and a candy cane of candy (the ones with Kisses, etc. inside). Kids used to get a sweet storybook of Life Savers, and little trinkets/fun gifts. Always a Christmas cracker and gingerbread man as well.
Now that DS is married, I don't do his any more. DD won't be home for the first time for Christmas this year -- I'm sending her stocking filled, along with her packages. Including a silly toy, some mini alcohol bottles, lottery scratch offs, and some candies from World Market that she likes.
DH is getting some pens, lip balm, alcohol, lottery tickets, and silly things I find when I go to World Market tomorrow.
