What’s for Dinner Tonight?

Today for family lunch, me and my sister took my parents to the Wrentham Outlets. My father got to drive around his scooter so he was happy. It was a beautiful day!
We had lunch at Cracker Barrel- so glad they decided against changing the theme there. I had the sampler- fried chicken, meatloaf, chicken and dumplings with Mac & cheese and broccoli. Needless to say this was way too much food. I knew I was going to bring home a lot so I’d have leftovers for lunch tomorrow and maybe dinner tonight too.

Tonight I made corn and potato chowder it was a new recipe. Overall it was good. Next time I’d let it simmer another few minutes to thicken the chowder a bit more. I served it with salad a crusty French bread from a local bakery.

Last night my granddaughter made fried rice. Tonight we're having our leftovers from the lunch we had at Rudy's.

Made Shephard's Pie from Skinnytaste last night. That will hold me a few days.

Tonight though, I am going to have dinner with a friend and he is making some braised boneless beef ribs over noodles with apple crisp for dessert. So looking forward to that.

We spent the evening with my brother and his family at a Halloween event, so we all grabbed a bite at a local restaurant. Tonight we'll have shaved steak and cheese wraps. I'll sauté some onions to add as well as top it with a horseradish sauce.

My DH will be home late tonight so I’m on my own. Spaghetti and meatballs.

I have been talking about tacos for 2 weeks so tonight I’m making tacos. Ground beef for DH and black bean for me. I’m also making a frozen Spanish rice from Trader Joe’s, which I haven’t made before so hoping it’s good.

Things may be a little crazy for a few weeks. My bff is getting her hip replaced tomorrow so I’ll be helping her for the next few weeks. A few of us have stocked her second freezer so food should be easy for her and her husband. I’ll be winging it since I’m not sure when I’ll be home.

Celebrating one of my brothers’ birthdays… so it was off to Olive Garden. I had a chicken and gnocchi soup, ravioli carbonara, breadsticks, calamari, shrimp frito misto, and for dessert a pumpkin spice cheesecake which was surprisingly not as sweet!

The Chocolatier at Hershey Park yesterday was excellent. Tonight we went to the Shady Maple Smorgasbord in East Earl PA for dinner. So good (and so full right now).

I went to Shady Maple for the first time this summer, for breakfast.... what a place!



Tonight I'll grill up some bacon cheeseburgers. My son and I will have them on a brioche bun and my wife will go bun less (she's watching carbs).
