Anyone ever take a cooking class? I’m debating taking one. I’d like to learn something new. I was looking at an Italian Christmas cookie class but they have several that look fun.

I have never taken a class but I've always wanted to. I got close about 30 years ago. I signed up for a cake decorating class and it got cancelled due to lack of interest. Then, I had kids and life got too busy. Now that I'm retired and an empty nester I do want to take one some time. Italian Christmas cookies sounds fun!

I’ve taken several classes with girlfriends and a few with other couples as a date night. All really fun and definitely took new skills away from the sessions. Highly recommend signing up!

No, not a class. I was raised up at the elbows of my mother and grandmother, learning by watching and doing from a very young age. I was perusing cookbooks as I learned to read Dick and Jane. I have also learned a ton from the Food Network, particularly in the early days when they made shows that actually taught cooking. Today, a quick Google search and a few minutes on YouTube give me all the help I need with specific things. I do highly encourage you to follow your interest though - there's something particularly soul-satisfying about being able to produce a delicious and attractive meal.
It was good, but the crab cake was the star of the meal. We both agreed that it was probably the best we've ever had. We'll definitely return to order the entree size the next time we're in the area.
