He did! He says he likes Portugalia better but he got chourico, linguica, malasadas, Autocrat coffee syrup, hot Italian sausage and a few other things. They had brought a cooler just for stuff from the market, lol.

My mom used to ship Autocrat syrup (not Portuguese at all) to my cousins in SC.

We drank coffee milk all the time as kids, way more than chocolate milk. I haven't had it since though. Dad used to make us coffee ice cream sodas with it....now I'm craving that...

today is family lunch day, so no dinner, but lunch will be grilled burgers, corn on the cob, fruit salad, veggie tray, watermelon, chips and brownies for dessert.

Landed around 7pm last night, unpacked and made a smoothie for dinner. Going to help my friend out for a few hours and should be home around 1pm. Nothing in the fridge, so I’m going to send the hubs out for some BBQ fixin’s. That’s alway interesting!

We do weekly during the summer.....pool is here
Every 2 weeks the rest of the year....unless we are out of town.
It's a chance for everyone to see each other.

Yesterday wound up making a qt of garlic soup for dinner minus the poached egg.

Today, there’s a NY strip defrosting in the fridge for later, and some store bought bbq ribs and brisket. Also made potato salad, , and veggies à la Grecque for a picnic in Central Park.
Today is one of the few days we are allowed to grill in the park (never announced just if you know, you know) so hope to make the most of it.

A friend is picking up dessert at Citarella’s so that should be worth last night’s soup-a-thon, lol.

DS wants grilled burgers w/ fries. I'm going to give 94% lean ground beef another try. Wish me luck. The last beef burger I had didn't sit well with me.

Now that the remodel is done I’m cleaning and organizing the basement. Spent the day down there and I’m probably half done. Hoping to finish next weekend. When we were done we were tired and hungry so we grabbed Mexican for a late lunch. I had cheese enchiladas.

I also made a batch of cookies and cream ice cream for a snack later. Finally finished the package of Oreos

Tonight is steak strips and udon noodles. Going to cook it in Tamari sauce with a little garlic and onion.

Heading over to a neighbors for a cocktail and apps. Then walking back over to throw the pork tenderloin on the grill that has been marinating. Sides will be grilled corn and an arugula salad.

Will probably do s’mores as well! Wooooeeeee, it’s hot here!!

Went fishing with DS-29 and my parents today. Our unlucky streak continued. Only caught two barely big enough scups. Not even enough for one person for dinner so we ordered pizza instead. The owner of the pizza shop said "no specialty pizzas due to holiday and cash only" so we got a pepperoni and a linguica. It was okay. We really need better pizza options near us.
