What’s for Dinner Tonight?

Tonight I grilled. DH had a ribeye, I had tuna. I made potato foil packs that I put on the grill with grilled asparagus (local farm stand has asparagus so we’ll be eating it a lot )

It's great to see that you're up & able to grill. I guess that means the surgery went really well. That's wonderful.

We planted and re-planted today. DH had made a reservation to go out to a fancy restaurant for our anniversary, but I was too tired to think about dressing up and going out. So I said could we just go out for lobster rolls instead? So that’s just what we did and got ice cream after. I’m cheating the low carb thing on the weekends. I don’t think it’s gonna help me.

Last night we had a family BBQ with far too much food - prawns, lamb, burgers, sausages, chicken kebabs, garlic bread, flatbreads, with a mixed berry pavlova and my homemade sticky toffee cake for dessert.

Tonight will be a much healthier spaghetti carbonara!

Last night was leftovers: Dr. Pepper beef bbq, mac n cheese, chicken bites.

I gotta figure out what we're doing with ground sirloin tonight.

I have no idea. I threw my back out helping my mom weed and clean up her garden. I’m in so much pain right now and DH is at a golf tournament probably not getting home until around 7:00. Ugh!!

Oh man!! Delivery dinner for sure. Hopefully ice packs & anti inflammatories will take the pain down.

Just back from another nursery run for some soil and along the way husband bought a new giant Traegar, so I guess he’ll be grilling for the neighborhood all summer.

Stopped by a farmers market and got salmon to grill, a fresh baguette to make garlic bread, greens to make a Caesar salad, & roasting potatoes. Fresh strawberries for dessert.

My DS came home to grill burgers and hot dogs and asked if I wanted anything.

My dad stopped by today and we did some planting. I’m about 3/4 way done. Hope to get the rest done after work this week.

Tonight is one pot chicken and rice with roasted asparagus.

Dh smoked a couple of chickens and I made a pasta salad to go with it. I’m so glad we’re back in “smoking season” around here!

I made crockpot lasagna with cheese ravioli and meat sauce. It was really good with some garlic sourdough bread.

Busy afternoon, so English muffins with mozzarella and tomatoes and Balsamic vinegar
Plus either salad or broccoli

Let's see...
Friday we met some friends for happy hour so we shared some Thai apps and DH had curry (I think).
Saturday I made ham and potato soup, with rolls and salad. The Little Guy came for overnight so dessert was Too Much Popcorn (while we watched Brave).
Sunday we went out for beer and burgers. DH and I worked all day on Sat and Sun, and I just didn't feel like creating a kitchen mess.
Tonight, even though it's raining, we are going to grill southern style pork ribs, with corn on the cob and salad. These were originally planned for Saturday and it didn't happen, so we have to get them cooked and eaten.
