What’s for Dinner Tonight?

....interesting. I usually add a whole onion and a package of sauerkraut to mine....
I usually do too-well the sauerkraut anyway (I have an onion hater in the family.) I just happened to have a large-ish can of beans in the pantry and thought I'd wing it and see what comes out.

....what kind of beans? Kidney beans? Navy beans? Fava beans? Lima beans? Cannellini beans? Chick Pea beans?

Just a big can of bog standard baked beans in tomato sauce. I usually bake them in a big pan with pork chops but I didn't have any chops so I figured a pork roast would taste good, too. I zshush up the beans with maple syrup, garlic, ketchup, and mustard when I make pork chops and I think I'll do the same today.

....sounds like a plan.

And east of you I’ve a pot of beans soaking for tomorrow’s cooking. I will not be a jhs boy and say beans are in the air…wait I did say that🤷🏽‍♀️

Last night we shared Bacon & Gorgonzola Poutine w/demi glace, because we'd never seen it prepared that way. For our entrée, we shared a bone-in pork chop w/ mashed potatoes & sautéed green beans & carrots.

Tonight, we're finally back home, so we can cook. We're having chicken w/ rice, black beans & sautéed fresh mustard greens.

I was a waitress at Red Lobster during college. I used to eat a roll and the Caesar salad on all my breaks. I have not eaten there since I worked there, but every once in a while I want a cheddar biscuit!
They didn't give us a salad. That may have been discontinued. We were fine with that, because we already had more than we could eat. We really only went for the biscuits, so we would have been very disappointed, if they had stopped serving those.
Thank you! We are heading to watch my son’s first football game of the season. (Go Monarchs!). It’s a long flight to SC from WA but I can’t wait to see him. He only gets a few weeks off a year to come home from football. So it’s worth it to get a quick hug before and after the game. We turn around and come home early Sunday. So it’s a fast trip!
I see it's a close game at the moment. Good luck Monarchs! I hope you have a fantastic weekend with your son. Share what you eat in South Carolina. I've only had bbq in Columbia.

Steakhouse dinner out with friends last night, coincidental to Slo's Steak Poll yesterday. :goodvibes

Back to cooking "out of the box" tonight and it was ground pork quesadillas with some nice, fresh-made garnishes - salsa, guacamole and lime crema (this meal kit included tons of stuff!!) and I threw a sheet of tater tots in the oven and served them with a spicy cheese sauce DH and DS both like.
