Whale Watching

Can you whale watch from shore around Newport or Huntington? Or do you need to do the cruise? Will be there around Grey Whale season.

You can see whales from the bluffs. You might try one of the cliffside parks at Laguna Beach (south of Newport Beach). We've seen them from Point Vicente near Redondo Beach. There is a lighthouse there with a little museum that's kind of neat.

If you have the chance- you can drie 2 hours to Cambria where they are in whale watching season. You can see them from the shore, its amazing.
