Whale watching in June

Hi,

I'm looking for feedback on the whale watching excursion offered through the Anaheim Visitor Center, www.anaheim411.com.

It's this specifically:

I'm going to Disneyland but I hate to fly all the way to California and not see the Pacific Ocean.

In the Santa Barbara/Ventura area, you usually only see whales in the winter.

I just wanted to echo what the others said, which is that in June, you're really missing whale season, which is late December through early April. Is there a remote possibility you'll see a whale of SOME type? Sure. But if your absolute goal is to see a whale, June isn't the time to do it. From your post, though, it sounds like you might be happy with just doing a boat trip and maybe seeing some dolphins or at least the ocean, so in that case, set the bar low, and enjoy a fun cruise

I've read that June-September is blue whale migration season. We booked at Newport Landing Whale Watching, for the first week of July and were told we are going at the peak of the season!
