We will be heading down in August for a 10 night trip. This will be our first time staying on site and using the ddp. I was trying to get an idea of our TS restaurants today and this is what I came up with. Please let me know if I am missing any great ones! Our party will consist of 3 adults (me, dh and dsis) and my 5 kids ages 15, 11, 10, 8 and 6. My kids are not very adventurous eaters (and neither is my sister) so I'm trying to make sure most places have good standard choices for them.

Le Cellier
San Angel Inn
Teppan Edo
50s Prime Time
HDDR
Chef Mickey for dd's 7th bday dinner
Kona-bkfst
Whispering Canyon (not sure bkfst or dinner)

I have 1 TS leftover that I haven't decided how to use yet.

I would add Ohana for dinner (if you can get it)
or Sci-Fi for lunch or dinner

I think your family will enjoy Ohanna, it's delicious and I think there is enough there for everyone to eat, even the picky eaters

Just a few thoughts--

Kona for breakfast is very inexpensive and not a good use of a TS credit, so if I were you, I'd pay for that one. Or better yet, just grab a Tonga Toast over at Captain Cook's where it's even cheaper.

We also have enjoyed 'Ohana, Kona (dinner and lunch), Coral Reef, the Wave, Crystal Palace, and Tusker House (breakfast there is very good).

If you want the silliness at WCC, go for dinner.

I definately want to try Sci fi but heard the food isn't great so I was thinking about just going there for milkshakes. I should probably make an ADR for that one too.

I noticed the low prices for Kona and since the tonga toast is what I really wanted, I'll switch that to lunch or dinner and get CS toast. Thanks for the tips. Thinking about CP for our other TS.

An early breakfast at Crystal Palace is another good idea, especially if your ADR is well before park opening. You get to enter the park early and walk down an almost empty Main Street! Awesome photo ops for pics in front of the castle without strangers.
Enjoy!

I second the recomendation for Tusker House Breakfast. It was one of our favorites and had an awesome variety. Chef Mickeys is good as well. We really enjoyed our dinner there. One tip if anyone in your party likes prime rib they had it at the carving station and were very willing to cut us thick pieces instead of thin sliceswhen we asked which gave us a very nice prime rib dinner. I'm sure your DD will have a great birthday dinner there.

We really enjoyed Sci Fi...we had burgers, blt soup, onion rings, shakes, excellent!! Loved the atmosphere and enjoyed it much more than 50's. I think HDDR is a great choice...you will LOVE it. But I would also recommend Crystal Palace and Ohana....maybe in place of San Angel. If you are looking for something in World Showcase, you might want to try Biergarten.

As you can see, we all have such different opinions! I personally LOVED 50s PTC WAY better than Sci-Fi. I love the OPs idea of going there just for shakes (add an onion ring appetizer!), but maybe not on the same day because 50s also has AWESOME shakes (I loved the PB&J shake!) that count for adults as a drink.

We also really enjoy Crystal Palace, especially for breakfast, but I preferred San Angel Inn (that AWESOME atmosphere) to Ohana. We also like the Coral Reef someone else mentioned, Tusker House breakfast, and can't wait to try the Biergarten.

Best of luck, hope you find some favorites on your list!!

Another vote to add 'Ohana and/or Crystal Palace! And we do like Sci Fi for lunch but not dinner. Good idea on the milkshakes!

We do not like San Angel or WCC for dinner. These are two of our 'never do agains'. But I also believe that everyone has different tastes and should try things for themselves.

I am lovin all the great feedback! I was planning to do most of our TS for dinners and have bkfst in the room (bagels w/cream cheese, cereal and fruit).
I think Coral Reef looks like fun but I ruled that out since dh is the only one who eats seafood. I will definately do WCC for dinner since I think the kids would love it.
I'm thinking San Angel is a good one for us in WS since we all love mexican food but could also do CS in Mexico since we already have Le Cellier and Teppan Edo too. I think I'll stick with 50s for dinner since my kids love home cookin and we are big onion ring fans so that and a shake could be a great "lunch" at HS one day.

We really enjoyed 50's Prime Time a lot more than Sci-Fi. The food was much better.

Tusker House if great for Breakfast and Lunch/Dinner. We did both breakfast and lunch. It was some of the best food (definitely best character breakfast) we had on our entire trip and we ate at 18 different places. The buffets are huge and have a ton of variety. Get to the park for an early morning character breakfast and be on an early morning safari ride after breakfast. The entrance is right next to the restaurant.

We also enjoyed Crystal Palace for breakfast. It was beautiful being in Magic Kingdom without many people there. Fairly quite and peaceful. The buffet is good and they have a wonderful made to order omelet station.

I think you have some great ones there. My ds(7) loved the HDDR, but more for the show than the food.

In the parks we have always enjoyed lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern in MK. Also, Donald's Safari Breakfast at AK was awesome. We had an 8:05 ADR on a day that AK did not have early EMH. We got to stroll around the area for a bit and then were the second group on the safari ride when it opened at 9.

Chef's De France was also nice for lunch. They had kid-friendly hamburgers and chicken. Remy was still there when we went in August, not sure how long he stays.

I would either suggest 'Ohana (just like 95% of people would) or Biergarten. I can see German food being a bit of a turn-off but the atmosphere alone for adults and kids is worth the trip.

If you are using the DDP, I would avoid using TS credits on breakfast buffets. They just aren't that cost efficient with the DDP.
