WH Shuttle

We've stayed many times at WH and never used the shuttle because we rent a car. However, on our upcoming trip in June, my DSIL and her DH are joining us and although we will visit the parks together on most days, there will be days where they will want to go earlier or whatever. How much is the shuttle and has anyone had any experience with it; like timeliness etc? Also, if we choose to drop them off at a park, would we need to pay parking? There are some days that we will just relax at the resort since we are staying longer than them.

Haven't used the shuttle either but for the second question: Yes, you can drop people off at the park and pick them up without paying for parking. We dropped our son's family off at AK. You just follow the blue line to the right at the side of the parking booth. It will take you right to the entrance of the park, just drop everyone off and leave. Do the same to pick them up when they call.

OK good to know. It will feel weird passing by the booths though, like we're trying to get free parking. I hate that feeling!

Does anyone know if you can take the shuttle 1 way or do you always pay for round trip?

Consider this option - drop your party off at the Animal Kingdom Lodge and have them take Disney transportation. On the flip side, if some people want to stay later, the persons leaving first take the rental car and then the others take Disney transport back to AKL, where they call for a ride back to Windsor Hills.

AKL is only 5 - 7 minutes tops from Windsor Hills if using the Sherbeth Rd. shortcut. And anyone with a park ticket is allowed to use Disney transport, not that they actually check.

Last I checked, the shuttle from Windsor Hills was around $10 per person and it ran on a very limited schedule and only had a couple of pick ups / drop offs each day. I believe that you also needed to reserve in advance (maybe the night before??).

OK thanks. The info I found from searching was from 2010 I believe and it's up to $11/person RT. You can get a schedule from the WH office.
