We've Got Snow!

It started around midnight and it's still falling. We're supposed to get six to nine inches--DS is beside himself. It was just announced on the news that Prince William County Schools are CLOSED! He's doing the Happy Camper dance and dying to get his snow boots on and try out his new sled. I've told him he has to wait until the sun comes up. I'll head out with my digital camera and take some pictures for everyone.

On the downside, the federal government is not closed and DH had to go in. I've been watching the news and the roads look terrible. We're supposed to go to a Christmas party in DC tonight--I don't think so.

So glad I went grocery shopping yesterday.

I'd like to say "lucky you" Steph, but it can be a nuisance, like you say DH has had to go in to work .

We've actually been threatened with snow down here on the South Coast on Sunday - allegedly coming over from Russia. I'll believe it when I see it . . . .

Keep safe and enjoy the fun in the snow - make a snow angel for me if you can

Well Tigger, it's passed. Pershaps it is heading your way.

The schools are closed again today. DS is thrilled. I'm surprised about that. The plows were out all night. The roads are icy, but passable.

Here are a few pics. I'm hoping the sun really shines this morning and I can get some good pictures. Everything was so pretty during my walk yesterday. Quite a workout, like walking in sand.

At the moment its raining , so xmassy! eh?

Although Dp rang to say is dad rang him and told him to make sure we've got anti freeze its going to be -10 next weekend Its cold enough!

I've got more Richard. I didn't want to bore you guys silly. DH got home early from work yesterday. He took DS over to the school, which has a really good hill for sledding. They were gone for hours. When they came limping home, DH had fallen off the sled and onto his hand. It's all swollen up now. Not a good thing, has he's working on a master's degree right now and has an essay to write this weekend. I reminded him that he's not a spring chicken anymore.

Glad you enjoyed the snow, Steph... I was equally glad to have gotten on the road to WDW before it started..... we did run into some of the ice storm in North Carolina... but we took our time and amde it through.

Thanks Tracy! I used that pic as our Christmas card. I ordered them from shutterfly.com. Wasn't cheap, but they're preprinted and ready to go.
