We've FALLen for WDW...An October 2010 PTR! New 10/14 TR Link Added

I wanted to share some pictures of the crayon rolls that I made for the girls I babysit for (as a part of their birthday present). I am still an amateur so you can definitely tell where I made mistakes. Also, don't mind the blue marker on it, it's disappearing ink that I use to make sure I sew straight and such. I don't think I will put the ribbon on anymore to close it, I don't like how it looks.

I APOLOGIZE IN ADVANCE FOR THE LARGE SIZES OF THE PICTURES. I went on photobucket and resized each one to be smaller and saved it. Then when I copied the IMG link over, it is still making them larger. I don't want to go back and do it all over again.

My Trip Binder!
...I think it's finally finished. I only need to add the Hidden Magic Secrets list (I haven't read the book completely again, yet.) and also I added an extra sheet protector to put our ME documents when they arrive.)...

List of Things to Do. (Cue the laughing now but I added little quotes next to the month to get me more excited! :lmao:)
100_0074-1.jpg

Park Hours. (I thought about making a smaller one to keep with us but I think that I will just grab one of the pamphlet sized ones that WDW makes for each week with the hours on them.)
100_0078-1.jpg

Daily Plans. (No picture b/c I don't want to ruin the suspense of you guys being able to read all the rest of our daily plans.)

Dining. (No picture b/c of the inability of photobucket to properly save the pictures after I've made them smaller (to make confirmation numbers illegible).)

Budget. (Let's hope this helps me to save every extra penny!)
100_0119-1.jpg

Snacks. (This isn't completely finished yet.)
100_0079-1.jpg

Food & Wine Festival. (I made it into a check list so I don't have to list things out to remember what I had (for trip report purposes). I also added a few lines to write extra things on the bottom.)
100_0122-1.jpg

Packing List. (I used Microsoft One Note to make this document.)
100_0121.jpg

Attraction Wish List.
100_0080-1.jpg

Daily Trip Report Sheet. (This will NOT come to the parks with us. I will get a little notebook and bring that. If I happen to find time to jot down the notes I will. If not, I'll go by the pictures. These are to be used when we come home, in the first few days, to write down all of the information while it is still fresh in my mind. I have one for each day (plus some extras) and they are each in sheet protectors (like all the rest of the pages in my binder) that way I can just put the receipts from the day into each one quickly.)

Doesn't laundry suck? It's part of my duties at work, so I'm almost always doing laundry and it's not even mine or a relative's :headache:

Looking forward to your day 3 plans! :dance3:

I've only had to do a handful of loads of laundry for the people I babysit for. It's going to stay that way, too! :lmao: It's just so tedious!

Speaking of laundry, I better go check on mine...:rotfl:

On average, about 4-6 residents have their laundry done on any given day. Most residents only have one load, but some have two, so it takes a few hours. Thankfully, we have three washers and three dryers.

Also, I'm not sure if you know or not, but unless your cousin has a keycard, she won't be able to go on any rides at EMH. You might want to get a spare key and see if she can flash it and get on. I don't think they have time to look at the names, just the fact that you have a keycard. I'm not guaranteeing that would work, but it's worth trying. :)

I totally forgot about that! Bummer! Oh well. NBD. Thanks for the advice, tho. :)

I love your trip binder! I wish I was 1/2 as organized as you are!

Your day 3 plans sound great- except for the 7 am wake up. I'm not a morning person either, but when it comes to Disney, we gotta do what we gotta do I guess!

She can still go with you, she just won't be able to get on any rides. I do think the extra keycard would work, and then you guys would have an extra key for your room, just in case, if you wanted to go that route :)

It'll be okay, I think. If not, we'll just sleep in a little later and take a cab over to Poly. But I really want to see the MK opening ceremony (and not on our last park day).

I love planning vacations. I want to take an online travel agent course through my community college but we just don't have the $$ right now. I was listening to the round table podcast for the DIS and they were saying how the job (being a TA) isn't as fun as everyone thinks b/c there could be times when you are on your own vacation and have to get up at 430 am to make dining reservations for somebody else's vacation. I thought it sounded like fun. :lmao: I know I'm a loser.

I will keep that in mind. If it works out that she can come that evening. I don't think that's one of the days she's going to request off to spend with us. (Which I think she's only going to request one day at most two.)

Well, I hope she gets her requests :flower3: They usually gave me my requests, even when I requested Christmas off  Then again, I put on the notation that I was going to be out of town and I worked in a heavily staffed area and was seasonal...

If she doesn't, it's not a big deal. I'm hoping she'll just be able to tag along with us either before or after her shift. It helps that she is working at CSR where we are staying b/c when she gets off she can just come by our room and hang out, too.

Day 3 sounds great :thumbsup2 and what are these, they look good!

Your binder is looking very good, really well organised :thumsbup2 and those gifts for your girls are really cute :goodvibes

Sooo exciting about your cousin and awesome you'll get to see her!

I have probably said this before but don't worry, getting up early is SO WORTH IT for the Magic Kingdom welcome show. It is so cute. I guarantee you will be so glad you did it. :goodvibes

Oh yes, and those crayon rolls are great!

They are corn dog nuggets from Casey's! Thanks. I am glad to have the binder nearly completed. Most of the documents I created, however, are for the trip report.

I know. She says she is having a lot of fun, but she is very busy. I really want to see the MK Opening Ceremony so I know that I will want to get up. We do have another opportunity to see it on our last full park day but I just think that would be too depressing.

Ummm..yeah, I'll be getting those corn dog nuggets this year! They look so good, I'm suddenly starving and I just ate breakfast an hour ago!

Your binder is awesome! That is why I started buying the Passporter. The pages/writing spaces are a bit small, but it keeps everything really organized and there is a lot of room to write notes for the TR! :thumbsup2

I finally finished our 2009 scrapbook last night (at 2am...) so maybe now I can finally get started on Mousekeeping envelopes!

Hmmm think I might have to try those this year, thanx :)

Well its good to be prepared for the TR :thumbsup2 I am going to use two little notebooks that I was given to try and make notes each day. Hopefully I will remember to :)

I brought an itty-bitty NB with us to the parks last time and it didn't work out so good. However, I also didn't really allot time to sit down and write in it. I was way too concerned with getting everything done. This time we get to take it slower so I am hoping I will get a chance to write in it throughout the day, at least a couple of times. Especially if something happens that I don't want to forget about! :)

Love your binder!! Great idea to have a place to tuck your receipts... mine were a mess last time!

I don't have an actual trip binder... I have a folder that I've been using to keep everything in. Since it's just me and I'm not uberplanning, I don't see the point of a big binder, you know? :) I like yours, though!

I am there with you on the remembering to fill it out. Last trip I tried my best but it wasn't easy. I do remember sitting in the Tambu Lounge after a photo session and trying to remember a few days worth to write down. That was actually quite nice and relaxing, so if you have time to do something like that I would recommend it, esp if there are cocktails involved ;)

Mine were a mess too!!! Ugh! I'm bound to lose a couple along the way but hopefully it will be easier to organize them. My dh just rolls his eyes at me with my organizational skills. It's gotten worse instead of better. Lol.

I made my binder more so bc I enjoy doing it. I definitely see where it's not necessary but I also think that it will allow me to look back in my trip for years to come. :)
